" i think i'm gonna be my biggest fan "

I hold her close to my chest, her shoulders shaking with each breath she takes. I run my hands trough her hair, brushing her strands back as her forehead falls on my shoulder. I hush her and she sighs deeply. Softly, I grip her chin, making her look up at me.

Her eyes are beautiful, I've always found them so mesmerizing. Colours mix and splash, creating the perfect harmony put together with a gold rim all around it. Her pupils dilate and they get smaller, then they largen and grow, mirroring my feelings. Her lips are slightly opened, and her warm breaths cloud on my skin, sending goosebumps all over my arms.

"I will see you tonight. And tomorrow. And the day after," I whisper, and she nods.

Yesterday we've been able to get all the information needed, I got all the information needed, and my presence was requested for lunch at their manor. But also, these past few weeks Sofia passed me in the hallways without another word, barely acknowledging me. But the moment I took her out she began to soften and catch my smile every now and then, mouth small phrases to me and let me in.

And yesterday, she feared. She feared for me.

The wave of emotions she felt came out of nowhere and I had no idea how to deal with it, push it away or welcome it? She is confusing, cold but hot the next moment, and with her I feel like I take a step forwards and three back. But the moment I look in her eyes all my walls collapse, welcoming her in.

She looks down, and I brush her cheek with my knuckles, drawing her attention back to me. "Don't push me away, Sofia. Don't."

Her lips quiver and she nods, fluttering her eyes closed and sighing.

"I don't mean to," she whispers, opening her eyes. "But everyone I care about leaves me, and I care about you Lorenzo. From the moment you were sent in that room with me to when you played for me and bought me to a place that made me feel like I was at home."

I nod and a tear slips from her cheek, which I brush away. "The moment they suspect me I will run, and never look back. I will come here, and we will get this done and over with. The moment he dies we go back to Italy, where hopefully it's more peaceful than here."

"Promise me. Promise me that we can get to the bottom of this. I don't care if you don't mean it, I just need to hear those words."

Without hesitation, I promise her. "I promise that we will get to the bottom of this."

She nods, and her words run through my head. She doesn't need truth, she just needs to hear it. It doesn't matter if I was lying, she just needed to hear it.

But I meant every word, and she will not be able to see that till I fulfil the promise.

Without waiting for a reply I turn and walk to the car Diana arranged for me. A small black car, not fast but knowing her it's probably bulletproof. On the passenger seat there are a bunch of documents that are from the car itself but also for me, such as ID, fake driving license, apparently a document that proves I own a flat just 10 minutes away from me and a fake passport.

I shove them all in the compartment and check the seats behind me, which have a bag full of weapons. I grab two blades and stuff them in the thicker part of my shoe where it doesn't stab my shoe but it's also easy to grab. The end bit of the handle sticks out, making it look like it's the design of the shoe, concealing it perfectly.

I take the bag and put it under the chairs, then turn on the engine. As I drive I check my microphone and put in my small headphone in my ear. On the other line I can hear shuffling in the background, and I turn on the camera that it's attached to the microphone, giving them a perfect glance of the road ahead of me.
