The steam swirl and mix above my coffee cup, and I take a sip of it as I watch everyone frat around.

Today we are supposed to find his daughter, and the whole house is a mess. Weapons and bottles everywhere, blankets on the floor, packages left literally everywhere all while they all run and pace around, either with a phone in their hands or just with their emotions all over the place.

And while I'm watching this mess, I'm drinking my morning coffee.

Due to the exhaustion of last night, they all slept in. But me? I woke up at 5, changed my bandages and began setting up a plan, waking up Alessandro's men, setting up the cameras and securing the perimeter for the past 3 hours, counting the weapons and vehicles and checking if everything is good. Sofia sent me a list of all the details needed and for the past 3 hours I worked to achieve them.

Now that I've done everything, I have no idea why they are still pacing around.

"Damn it have you seen my phone?" Carlson shouts from the other end and Stefano laughs.

"Yeah, it's here. Have you seen my shoes? I swear I lost them."

"They are in the bathroom!" Sofia shouts, and I smile as I watch Alessandro walk into the room.

His white shirt is unbuttoned at his neck, showing a bit of cleavage. While he walks towards me he cuffs the sleeves up and adjusts the belt on his slacks. He runs his hand through his wet slick hair, and when he sees my coffee I laugh, pushing the cup towards him.

He happily drinks my coffee.

"Feel better?" I ask, and he flashes me a dimpled smile.

"I set everything up yet they are still pacing around like idiots. What's gotten them so worked up?"

"They are all over the place," he points out, his voice deep and laced with sleep. "Everything is everywhere and they can't find anything. You set up everything?" He turns to me and I nod.

"If anything goes wrong my phone will start pinging with messages," I glance at my watch. "We still have an hour left yet they act like we're late."

Alessandro laughs, the sound melodic and harmonic to my ears. "They are usually organised, but lately not really. Though it helps having you here," he licks his lips, his knuckles brushing my hand.

"It helps having someone setting your asses straight? As it should. However I don't do things for free, you see," I grin, leaning forwards. Alessandro chuckles and leans towards me, smirking.

"Yeah? What do you need?"

"Triple chocolate muffin."

He freezes for a seconds and takes a moment to let my words sink in, then he pulls away slightly and frowns at me.

"Triple what?"
