3 Years Later:

"So, most of my children have been slaughtered? We might find the twelve Kizuki there, then. It seems I'll have to send in reinforcement. Giyuu... Shinobu..."

"Understood!"

"Tomioka, there aren't any survivors here," Kocho says as she got up from examining a dead body. 

"Yes, I know. Let's go."

"Say, Tomioka. Since we are in this joint mission together, why don't we try to get along, hm?" Kocho asks as they were both running North further into Mount Natagumo.

"Kocho, aren't we already?" Tomioka asks as he observed their surroundings. ''We've done this too many times."

"Ouch, Tomioka. You're hurting me,'' she responds 

"Let's just focus."

"Fine, I'll go west," Kocho says as she points to the direction she plans to go to. "And you go wherever you want."

"Sure do that."

"Tomioka, isn't the moon lovely tonight?" 

"Why ask that question-" He stops as he turns around to see his partner out of his sight. 

"Why did she always do that? How mean of her," Tomioka thought. 

After 3 years, they continued to act the "same". Teasing and that other stuff. Giyuu Tomioka, a 21-year-old man, still does not understand the 18-year-old girl. 

***Time Skip to Where Tomioka Killed Rui 

"It's that boy from last time," Tomioka thought to himself as stared at the red-haired boy, who was hovering over a small girl.

"It's-it's you," the boy stutters while holding his dear sister close. Apparently, they were face to face towards death. Oh gosh, how lucky they are by just being alive and living the moment. The moment did not really last as long as a swarm of butterflies appeared right between their eyes.

"How beautiful, " the group of three thought to themselves. Giyu, Tanjiro, and Nezuko have found themselves being surrounded by purple Monarch butterflies. The butterflies fluttering gracefully around them. Oh, how serene and calm.  

Tomioka snaps out of the calming trance, realizing upcoming trouble. From his east, he found a figure dashing full speed towards him and the Kamado siblings. Tomioka took out his sword and blocked the incoming contact with the figure. 

"Ara, ara, what's this?" the insect-breathing style user asks as she gracefully landed on two of her feet. "Why are you defending this demon? Don't you know that you would get in trouble for this?"

Before Tomioka got to say anything, the boy claims, "She's my sister."

Kocho then gave them a confused smile. "Well, let me relieve her by using this toxic that will end her suffering painlessly."

Kocho took a step forward as she tapped the vile in her hand. This scared the boy. Tanjiro held Nezuko tight and unexpectedly, Tomioka stood his stance, defending them.

"Go."

"What? Tomioka? You're crazy! That's why no one likes you."

This obviously gave Tanjiro and Tomioka a shock of ... something? Who knew that this woman has the nerve to call out her partner off like that.
