Tomioka's POV: 

 = 2 Hours Before Hashira Meeting =

A knocking was heard behind the door 2 hours later after I had lunch with Kocho. I looked outside from my window and there they stood, the Water Pillar and our best friend Makomo. 

I opened the door and welcomed them.

"Welcome back, Sabito and Makomo," I plainly said to them.

"Hi, Giyu! How are ya? Oh hi, Kocho!! Nice to see ya again. How are ya?" Makomo yelled out as she skipped cutely towards Kocho. 

"Hey, Giyu! Nice to see you here. Did you cook for us? Just kidding, Makomo and I already ate." Sabito said, shaking my hand in his.

"Well, please sit down with us," I pointed out to our main room.

"Sure, okay? Is there something wrong?" he asked as we both sat down with Kocho and Makomo.

"I have much to tell, so please just sit down and listen. And whatever you hear, don't say anything, just keep listening. Makomo... Sabito... Understand?"

"Yes," they both replied.

I inhaled in and exhaled out. Why am I nervous? I looked over to Kocho, who was just staring at me with silent support. Then to Sabito and Makomo, who had confusion in their eyes. This was unexpected but it must be done.

"We had a Hashira meeting today."

"Why wasn't I informed?" Sabito suddenly asked.

"Sabito, remember what Tomioka said? No sudden talking over him, ya?" Makomo interrupted, "Sorry, continue."

"Okay. You weren't informed because you were on a mission but I believe that should not be the reason. We had a Hashira meeting because we had bumped into a special case."

"Special case?" Makomo asked.

"Yeah, we had news that a demon slayer was traveling with a demon for 3 years after his final selection."

"That's absurd!" Sabito roared out as he banged the tea table with his fists.

"It's true," Kocho followed after.

"A boy named Tanjiro Kamado was traveling with his demon sister for 3 years in order to find a cure for her. Master has said that during his 3 years, he has encountered Kibutsuji once. We were told that all of us should protect Kamado from Kibutsuji, for he probably had confidential information. "

I looked at Sabito for his reaction and surprisingly, he is taking it in very well. As well as Makomo. It seems that we're not going to shout and question in outbursts. At least not yet.

"It was also said that the girl demon is a special case. The demon in the name of Nezuko still retains her human reasoning or side. It was proven that she will not kill any humans as long as she lives, not ever."

"Is that it?" the Water Pillar asked as I was trying to catch my breath.

"No, there's more. For the next part, don't interrupt me. The reason the Kamados had survived in the first place was because of me. Three years ago, precisely on January 1, when I was running to the Mansion to meet up with Master and Kocho, I took the shortcut through the forest. I found footsteps leading down a cliff. I, of course, went down to investigate to see what's going on. As I followed the footsteps further in the forest, I found the older Kamado trying to restrain and control his sister from devouring her."
