Giyuu's POV
It was heart-breaking. Seeing Aiko-san like this, makes me want to cry too. Every word was expressed with sorrow. It was a very emotional scene to be in. I can't help myself but I had to put a casual face on this whole time. I tried to avoid tearing up but I had to stay strong. Kocho, however. She was tearing up softly. You can see her luminous, purple eyes forming tiny teardrops that smoothly ran down from her cheeks to the ground. I couldn't blame her for that. As she said to me before, we both had our very own sibling or role model we looked up to. A person who was always there.
For me, it is the Water Pillar, Sabito. For Kocho, the Flower Pillar, Kanae Kocho. Although Sabito and I aren't related in blood, we were raised as brothers along with Makomo. We went through everything together, just like siblings. We are connected by mind and soul, not by blood. Nevertheless, when it comes to blood connection. When it comes to the Kocho-family, they are very strong indeed. Kocho along with the other girls were very much alike. Being raised in a great family gives great support to everything.
Losing one member will be a great loss. As I continued to listen to Aiko's story, Shinobu said, "At least he is in a better place now, Aiko-san." Aiko-san then looked up at her and said, "Thank you. I am very sorry for bothering you, especially during a time like this. I have always bottled up feelings and never had time to express them to others. Well, it is very rare for me to do so anyway." Kocho and I smiled as she continued thanking us.
I then remembered the reason why we were here. I then disrupted her by saying, "Aiko-san, sorry for intruding on your gratitude for us, but we must go." Kocho then realized what I meant. "Yes, we must. Aiko-san, thank you for being a great host. Whenever you need anything, try to come and look for me." Kocho said smoothly with ease. Aiko-san then took the hint. She wiped her tears off and walked us downstairs to the door. As we parted, Kocho gave Aiko-san a tissue. What a very nice thing to do, I thought.
As we left, Kocho muttered out loud, "May his soul rest in peace." Before I said anything, I noticed that the pool of blood and the dismembered body parts were gone. I stood there in shock. "Uh....."
