THE ROOM FELT FRIGID, as jean perched his body against the couch that was displayed at the end of his bed. lights were off in the room and the moon only illuminated into the area through the small opening of the closed curtains.
his phone was sitting beside of him and he glanced at it, wondering if he should contact skye or not. its been a week or so since their last call and jean hasn't heard much from the guy.
tomorrow was the basketball game, the day that highlighted the week of the school. and of course, it was something important to him. everyone was hyped about it, but for some reason, jean wasn't. maybe it was the fact that eren jaeger was going to play for this season.
jean tried to collect his thoughts and emotions, putting them at ease so that he wouldn't feel aggravated the next day. it was getting late and the male figured that he should sleep, but his doings were shortly interfered when his phone began ringing.
reading the lit screen of his device, jean immediately reached for his phone, answering the call and raising the phone next to his ear. skye had contacted unexpectedly, and it made jean's heart race as thoughts of what he had called for flooded into his mind.
"oh? greetings kirstein, i didn't expect you to answer so quickly," skye's voice spoke first once the call began, he snickered softly before continuing. "i have some news for you, good ones- i believe."
"what is it?" jean questions, eager to know what news skye had mentioned.
"my father has rescheduled our business trip for two weeks instead of an entire month, so we'll be able to carry on the plan much quicker," skye announces and jean could already see a smirk curving on the other's lips. "i assume you haven't made any moves yet?"
"no, not yet," jean replies.
"hm, i see. are you planning on to without my aid?"
