I woke up the next morning and smiled to myself when I felt Brian kiss my forehead. He snuck back up to my room the night before though knowing Dom and his consistent level of awareness I didn't really know how much sneaking was involved. I rested my head on his bare chest. He hand one arm comfortably wrapped around my torso. His fingers trailed up and down my side and towards my lower back.
"You know Dom is going to kill you when he finds out you spent the night here?" He smirked lightly a slight scoff escaped his lips.
"Eh, he'll get over it." A bright smile emerged on lips as I rolled from my side and on to my stomach.
"You might have his acceptance again now but I wouldn't go as far to say that he'd be okay with this."
He smiled brightly before raising his head to kiss me. A bit my bottom lip slightly before kissing him back. His hands moved up from bare hips and wrapped around my torso pulling me deeper in towards his chest. With one quick motion he turned over allowing myself to fall back against the bed. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he trailed kisses down my neck and along my collarbone.
My nails dug into his shoulders slightly when he met my lips again but the moment was broken when I heard a familiar voice call up the stairs,
"Charlie! Let's go! We got a race to prepare for."
"Oh shoot." I flung up from the bed pushing Brian aside. I grabbed the covers and jerked them up over my bare chest.
I could hear footsteps coming upstairs.
Brians eyes widened a bit when the sound of steps came.
"Hide!" I loudly whispered to Brian as I scrambled around the room to find clothes to put on. The quickest thing I could grab were the pajama shorts and tank I had before. Brian went to the closet, slowly. If he had his way he'd just confront Dom right now but things have been tense enough. I don't want to start any new fights. I quickly kicked his clothes under my bed.
Dom flung open my door just as I was walking over to my dresser.
"Get dressed, now." He demanded as I spun around on my heels to face him.
"I'm coming." I nodded quickly before giving a flat smile.
He stood in the doorway a minute looking at me then, around the room. He nodded before closing the door back.
Just when I was about to give a sigh of relief I heard him call out, "And tell O'Conor to put his pants back on and get his ass down here."
So much for secrecy.
"I told you he knew." I gave a disappointing look to Brian as he emerged from the closet.
He shrugged before winking at me.
I rolled my eyes before grabbing some jeans and a black tank from my dresser.

"I should be able to drive if I want you."
I crossed my arms over my chest in complaint that I wasn't able to have the same opportunity to drive as they did.
"I'm not arguing with you about this." Dom shook his head back and forth before pointing at me, "You got yourself in a enough trouble."
My brows began to furrow as I felt my temperature rising.
"No, I'm actually participating because if you had your way I'd be stuck at home just like Mia!" I immediately shot up from my seat.
"Us taking a risk is different than you and Mia. I'm not letting something happen to you too."
"Me either." Brian chimed in with a kind but serious look.
"Fine." I crossed my arms as I back down next to Brian. He put his arm over the back of my chair instinctively.
"Giselle has sent the location we'll meet there tomorrow to go over details before the run."
"Sounds good." Brian nodded before glancing over to me. I didn't say anything but only starred at the dining table in front of me.
I saw Dom nod firmly before leaving the room.
Brian took my hand in his and kissed the top of it. If I'd be allowed to race I wouldn't have to be on the inside of the operation but I was glad Brian was here. I know he would protect Dom but now there was a chance that I could loose both of them; on top of Letty.
I didn't want that risk or them sacrificing themselves for me.

"You nervous." Brian nodded towards me. I stood on the front porch looking up at the stars wishing for things to be simple like they used to be.
"Only you for you guys." I said with a soft smile. He nodded lightly before coming to stand by me. I leaned my head on his shoulder and moved his arm around my waist. I could feel tension in his body as we stood there silently for a few moments.
"Are you okay?" I questioned as he removed his arm from my side and gave an exhale.
"I want to be." He said while rubbing the back of his neck.
I cocked my head to the side curiously as he sat down on the cement ledge of the porch. He rubbed his hands together as he looked at the ground.
"What is it Brian?" I came over and rested my hand on his shoulder.
"I don't want to loose you again Charlie." He began while dragging over his face, "But I can't keep hiding things from you either."
My body tensed up at his words not knowing what would happen next.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means I have something to tell you; that I should have told you from the beginning but couldn't. You wouldn't have understood. I don't know if you would now. He dropped his head down in frustration. I could see the anxiety racing through him. My heart was beginning to drop.
"Brian, just tell me." I bit the inner part of my cheek hard before squeezing my fingers into fists nervously.
"I'm the reason Letty died that night....."
"What?!" I quickly questioned in confusion and surprise. He jumped up from his seat and placed both hands on my shoulders gently.
"She was helping me. She was getting info on Braga in exchange for Doms freedom. That way you all could be together. She went in undercover but obviously they found her out."
I blinked a few times before raising my hands to my mouth. A few tears formed in my eyes. I could see the pain and frustration in Brians face as he took his hands off my shoulders and walked to the other end of the porch.
"I'm sorry Charlie. I know it doesn't change things but I never wanted her in there. I wanted anything harmful to happen to her."
A few tears rolled down my cheeks as Brian turned away from me. He clenched his hands into fists and began cursing under his breath.
"Brian." I called out as I came towards him.
"What?!" He whipped around in frustration.
"It's not your fault." I began while placing one hand on his cheek.
"Yes it is."
"No." I cooed, "There was no stopping Letty. She knew what she wanted. What she thought would be best and she did that. Things would have been worse without your help. I'm glad she had your help."
His eyes widened in surprise before a wave of relief swept through them.
"I'm sorry I kept it from you. I didn't want to loose you but I had to tell you but I knew keeping it from you wouldn't make things better either."
I quickly lifted myself up on my toes in order to kiss him. He kissed me deeper before sitting down on the slab. He pulled me up onto his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck loosely.
He smiled as he pulled away for a moment, "I don't how I got so lucky to have you."
My cheeks flushed slightly as I bit my bottom lip.
"You know we have to Dom?" Reality hit me quickly. As much as I wanted to be happy this complicated things a lot.
He gave a slight sigh. "Yeah I know. I don't know how. I want to tell him but-"
"He'll kill you." I added on before he could finish.
"Most likely." Brian nodded a few times assured at the idea, "I don't blame him either."
"Don't say that. We'll find a way and the right time to tell him. For now we just need to take care of Braga. Thats who killed Letty. Not you."
He nodded slowly a few times.
