"Isn't this more of a police thing." Charlie questioned her hire up, Agent Shire, as her eyes trailed over the case file.
"It is but you're an informant why you're being sent in as well." Shire, a middle aged man of his late 40s, nodded towards the her before taking a sip of his coffee.
She smiled flatly before replying back in a sarcastic tone, "What you REALLY mean is you can't put an actual agent on the case because it isn't in your jurisdiction yet. You're sending me in because I'm young and expendable."

Charlotte Jadden, daughter of Daniel Jadden and Elizabeth Havett and was one of the youngest members of the FBI. Following in her father's footsteps she became an informant after her father's death when she was 17. Her mother died at birth with her so her father was all she knew. Her fathers stature and legacy got her early access in to the field, though she was never quite sure if it was what she truly wanted. She was 19 now and about to her experience her first true undercover operation.

Shire was unamused by her comment, "We've fitted you with funding and have sights on a potential job for you there. You experience in auto-motives aids in the investigation. Our goal here is to identify and apprehend the individuals."
"For street racing?" Charlie witted back sarcastically.
"For illegal drug exports."
"Drugs in the cars." Thats new.
"Some of them and no it's not. Races are a common cover. Checkpoints in the race are actually drop off zones."
"Sick stuff."
Shire nodded, "I take it you're in."
"Yeah sign me up."

With her old Corvette, a duffel bag and single suitcase Charlie was left out in one of the smallest and driest towns in Arizona.
"You must be Charlotte." A kind voice greeted her as she entered into the corner-side parts store.
"Charlie." Affirmed with a nod as the old man shook her hand firmly.
"Let me show you your apartment. It's just upstairs, I'm Garrett by the way."
"Nice to meet you."

Charlies exhaled as she put hair up. The last preparation before driving down to tonights racing location. Her first race was to be by a large lake and dock area. She'd prepared weeks in advance on race tracks to ensure her skills were as sharp as they possibly could be. Street racing held a different environment and set of rules.
As her car approached the dock area she heard pounding music and flashing lights. Some eyes were on her body as she came out of the vehicle to scan the scene. Her eyes set in on her target as she Dominic Toretto came into view.
A random latin man approached her with a wide smile.
"You entering this baby." The man gestured to the light blue classic behind her.
"Hell ya." She smirked as she pulled out a wad of cash.
"3GS for tonight's race."
"You got it."

As the cars lined up she noticed the array of imports outlining her classic. She made eye contact with a stone faced Latina woman. Her thin classes rested on her nose before she pushed them up over her eyes.
Engines reved as the racers waited for the flag to drop. As the colors fell on the ground each car launched away from the starting line.
Zipping around corners and streaming through the dusty sands of the desert, Charlie remained ahead for a while before being cut off by the Latina women. They sped ahead of the pack as one racer spun out of the track early on.
As they continued towards the sharp curve, each racer prepared to drift around the corner right by the docks. One wrong motion and the card would spiral out and into the water. As the girls approached the turn. Charlie hit the corner just right, launching herself in front of the Latina woman as she drifted the corner. Two other races missed the corner and spun out into the lake.
The last segment of the race was here Charlie hit the NOS button and launched ahead. The latin woman tailing her close. Charlie crossed over the finish line just two seconds before the latin woman. She had won.
Some crowd members cheered and other shocked at the victory of an outsider.
The latin man came back towards her and handed her, her winnings.
"Your vettes got some power." A voice came up from behind her.
"I'm Letty." The woman greeted with an extended hand as Charlie turned around.
"Charlie."
"You race good."
"I have experience." Charlie smirked back lightly. Suddenly Dominic Toretto.
"Not many outsiders can cut corners like that."
"I'll take that as a compliment." Charlie witted back before letting her hair fall down her shoulders. She placed the wad of cash in her backpack and put it on the floor of the car.
"What do you think baby?" Letty began glancing from Charlie to Dominic, "Girls got some talents.
"Yeah but she can still learn a thing or two."
Dominic smiled back while giving Charlie a once over.
Charlie crossed her arms over her chest, I suppose your offering to teach me then."
"Even better, I can get you a job."
"I already got one."
"At Garretts right." Dom gestured towards the car, "A car like this is easy to recognize around here."
Charlie gazed over the two of them skeptically. He goal was to get in but it couldn't be anything to sudden or drastic.
"If you really want to soup this baby up, we got the access." Letty ran her hands along the back bumper.
Charlie waited a few more moments before agreeing.
"Alright, I'm in."
