Chapter Nine

" Oscar!" You yelled running to his room.

You didn't see him but you continued following his screams that lead to your mother's room. You ran inside. You heard his sobs coming from the bathroom.

You ran inside and immediately froze.

You stared at your mother. She was hanging from the shower rod with her wrist slit open.

" Momma!"

You snapped back and looked at you brother. He was on the ground sobbing and screaming.

You grabbed him and took him to the living room.

" Oscar, what happened?" You asked fighting back tears.

" Momma! She's hurt! Help her!" He yelled sobbing.

You knew your mother was dead. You stood up and nodded.

" She's hurt! She's hurt!" Oscar yelled.

" Stay here." You said. He nodded.

You walked to your mother's room and called an ambulance. As you spoke, you searched for anything. A note, a letter.

You opened a drawer and saw two letters. One for you and one for Oscar. You immediately broke down crying after the realization hit you.

You slowly knelt down and leaned your head on the nightstand. You didn't notice Oscar walk in. You looked up as you felt a hand touch your shoulder.

" Why are you crying? Are you hurt too?" Oscar asked softly.

You looked at him. You sat on the ground and pulled him onto your lap.

" I am." You said wiping your tears.

" Where?" He asked searching.

You shook your head.

" I'm hurt in here." You pointing to your heart.

" Me too, y/n." Oscar said.

You hugged him. You rubbed his back as you felt him cry on your shoulder.

Then there was a knock at the door. You got up with your brother and carried him over to the door. You checked the peep hole and saw it was the medic people.

You opened the door.

" Hi..." You said.

" We we're called about a suicide." The EMT said.

You placed Oscar down and lead them. You pointed to the bathroom.

" In there..." You said point to a door.

" How are you sweetheart?" An EMT asked removing you from the scene.

" I'm okay." You said.

" Who found the body?" Other one asked.

" My little brother..." You said.

" Is there anyone else we can call? A parent, or family?" The EMT that was with you asked.

You shook your head.

" Okay, we're going to call someone who can help you." The EMT said.

You nodded. You walked over and sat down next to your brother. He hugged you.

After a while officers flooded your house. You were asked questions about the incident.

" Get your brother and come with me." The officer said. You went to picked up your brother. Then followed the officer.
