Chapter Twenty-One

(Aftermath of Training Camp/planning to save Bakugo)

You gasped for air as you ran through a forest.

You looked back, tripping on a tree root. You yelped as you hit the ground.

" Y/n.."

You looked back again. You could make out a blue flame.

" Got you."

You woke up in a hospital bed. You tried sitting up but your chest hurt to move and felt your head hurt. You looked around and saw Todoroki sleeping next to you. You looked on your nightstand and saw a note from Aizawa.

You grabbed it groaning;

' Y/n, when you wake up, call me. Or when you get discharged. Your phone is on the table as well.'

You put down the note and looked at Todoroki. You put a hand on his back and shook him slightly. He stirred and woke up.

" What?" He said sitting up and waking up.

" Y/n!" He said after seeing you awake.

" What happened?" You asked.

" You were taken into the hospital just to make sure you didn't have any severe head damage." Todoroki explained. 

You nodded.

" You feel okay?" He asked feeling your forehead.

" My chest hurts to sudden movements, my thigh is on fire, and my head hurts a little but I'm fine. Is Midoriya okay? Since they took....Bakugo." You asked.

" He's in the room next to yours. Imma get the doctor. He told me that when you woke up, he'll do some tests to see if your fine to be discharged." Todoroki said.

You nodded. He kissed your forehead and walked out.

You recalled the memories of last night. You closed your eyes remembering how close you were to Bakugo.

" Why didn't he let me save him." You said.

The doctor then came to see you.

" Miss Y/l/n. How are you feeling?" The doctor said.

" Fine. My chest hurts when I move suddenly." You said.

" It looks like you got a pretty bad burn there. Your head isn't severely injured, fortunately. Your thigh might take a little time but it should heal nicely. I recommend not doing anything to much for a day and see how that feels, also, not to do any extreme exercise on the thigh. That includes hero work." The doctor said.

" Does that mean I can leave and go home?" You asked.

" Only if you promise not to do anything like fighting or active exercises." He said.

You nodded.

" Okay, I'll go and discharge you. You shouldn't need crutches or anything like that, we want to get your leg back to moving by itself so it's okay to apply pressure or to walk, I highly encourage to take a few laps but don't run." He said leaving.

Todoroki walked back in.

" How did it go?" He asked.

" He's gonna discharge me and that I can't do anything that involves risking my burn more or thigh." You said slowly getting up.

Todoroki helped you.

" Are you sure you wanna go home now?" Todoroki asked as he handed you clothes.
