Footsteps near-silent the forest was covered in a thick fog. Just through the fog, a gummyship was visible. As they reached it the dome at the top opened with a loud hiss. With a series of leaps, Yozora was in the cockpit with Max right behind him. As the hatch began to close they relaxed into their seats. As the hatch finally clicked closed a slip of paper floating away on a small whirlwind caught their attention.
"That could have gone better," Yozora muttered
"Could have been worse keep that in mind," Max replied
The shieldsman swiftly tapped a few buttons on the console. In response, the ship gave a subtle rumble the engine firing up. As the ship started to ascend his gaze moved behind them. With a mischievous smile, he shoved Yozora's seat causing him to spin. Facing the back of the ship Yozora froze in surprise going pale.
Down below at the camp, Elsa stood outside her tent. Her husband stood beside her holding her close. They wore matching looks of worry as their gaze followed the departing ship. As it left their view Elsa looked once more at the note in her hand. With a quiet sigh, she turned to hug Axel close.
"Promise me she'll be safe," Elsa whispered into his chest
"I can promise you that there's no need to worry." Axel murmured sweetly into her hair
He didn't know who he was trying to persuade at this moment. He had no indication that their daughter could handle the outside world. He had a feeling those two clowns wouldn't let anything happen to her. For all, he knew keeping here would be doing her more harm than good. The time he had been dreading had finally arrived, the time for her to start her own adventure.
Elsewhere on a distant world keyblades clashed. These two enemies meeting for the first time in two decades. As the Ends of the Eather crashed into the Void Gear the shadow weaver was sent to the ground. Pinning his enemy to the ground with his foot the aged and worn Terra raised his blade high. Suddenly the dark warrior crafted a dark hallway vanishing from sight. As if he never left Vanitas appeared behind Terra. With a strong kick, it was Terra's turn to meet the ground.
"You've gotten old Terra you're losing what little skill you had.' The dark warrior muttered.
" How did you return I thought Sora killed you!' Terra snapped jumping to strike him
"The rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated," Vanitas replied blocking his strike with his open hand.
Grasping the blade he tossed it away with ease. Casually the dark warrior approached Terra hitting with a hard gut punch. As the bulky fighter fell to his knees he caught the glint of something strange. Around the shadowy minion's neck hung a strand of woven leather with what appeared to be a tooth of some sort hanging from it. The fang had an ominous violet glow as it innocently swung.
"It's all thanks to my new boss that I found my way home," Vanitas spoke with a strange sweetness as if reuniting with family
Before Terra could respond he was knocked to the ground by a blow to the head. As Terra struggle to stand Vanitas grabbed the Ends of the Earth. Before the aged keyblade warrior could rise the shadowy warrior struck. Like lightning, the massive keyblade was plunged through its owner's chest.
"You got slow old man." Vanitas chucked leaning on the massive blade
Her pen dropping from her hand Aqua froze in distress. A tingle traveled down her spine as a vision appeared in her mind. Tears coming to her eyes she realized her worst nightmare had come true. Running her fingers through her sapphire hair her blue eyes flashing gold as her inner darkness tugged at her heart. Taking a calming breath she closed her eyes relaxing in her seat. Her eyes closed her head tilted downward tears slipping out against her will. As her composure shattered her voice was the only sound in the silent room.
"I should have gone with you darling." She whispered
Lazily Vanitas stepped out of a dark corridor. Entering a throne room he perched on a familiar cauldron. At the burst of emerald flame in front of him he yawned. Appearing on the dark throne Maleficent glared. Eyeing her new minion she hummed.
"So you took care of them?" She asked
"Yep both Sora and Terra." He Replied with a grin
"Good." She whispered
