The library was quiet as Iduna scanned the spell. She had read this spell three times. Something just wasn't clicking in her mind. Across the table sat Queen Minnie. The queen wore a concerned smile as she watched her.
"There's no hurry how about we try the basics?" Minnie inquired
"Like what Fire or Ice, have you met my parents?" Iduna joked
"I was thinking more like time stopping or magnet?" Minnie quipped
"Now you have my attention." Iduna grinned
With a flip of pages, the spellbook was set. It was now on a page labeled STOP in bold black letters. Smiling the Elemental took in every word on the page.
In the castle courtyards, Yozora rolled. He narrowly dodged a strike from the aged king. The rodent royal flipped firing a blast of magic. On instinct, the younger warrior threw his keyblade. The blade hit the magic knocking it away. Before the keyboard could hit him Mickey jumped catching it. With a leap, he spun tossing it back. Yozora jumped to catch his weapon. The mid-jump he raised his weapon blocking Mickey's strike.
Clashing the duo hit the ground. Digging his heels Yozora launched Mickey. Sent sail Mickey bounced off the Gummyship hanger. Rolling he rushed back at Yozora. Thinking quickly the younger warrior smirked. Raising his hand he trapped mickey in a barrier. Once the trapped noble was close enough he kicked him into the air.
"I win your highness, "Yozora muttered
"An interesting use of reflecting you impress me," Mickey remarked flipping to the ground
Hitting the grass Mickey dashed at him. On Instinct, the warrior raised his blade. He was sent to the ground as a bolt of thunder hit him. As Yozora fell to one knee Mickey smiled.
"Good match but you should work on your magic," Mickey said with a smile
"I know enough," Yozora remarked
"Basic spells and courage won't always be enough."
The youth shrugged looking down the courtyard. His gaze landed on Goofy and Max. They appeared to be throwing one of Goofy's old shields. It was a worn-down round shield. It was marked with the faded image of Disney Castle's logo.
"Something Yozora?" Mickey asked softly
"No nothing your highness," Yozora whispered
As another Dark Corridor opened Dunstan sprang up. Summoning his blade he rushed down the beach. Taking a defensive stance he waited. As Duncan appeared he smiled dismissing his weapon.
"Hey there Mr world traveler." He said with a laugh
"Looking like you've been doing a good job at protecting the island."Duncan retorted
"More like not telling us there's trouble."
Dunstan paled at the stern voice of his father. The older Riku wore a look of amusement while Xion stood beside him. Her face set in one of pride as she took in the battlefield.
"The damage could have been a lot worse." She admitted
"What bloody happened here, looks like a warzone," Merida mumbled
"Sephiroth's younger brothers attacked us looking for something called the Proto Materia," Strelitzia said
The subtle sound of a revving engine caught their attention. Glancing in the direction of the sound they found Lucas and Olivia. They looked as if they were preparing to leave. Stepping off the bike Lucas placed a hand over his chest. As he pulled it away a blue orb rested inside.
"This is what they were after, The Proto Materia." He announced
"Good now if you give it to us we'll take somewhere safe," Riku replied holding out his hand
"Sorry but it can't do that," Lucas muttered
Returning the Materia to his chest he recounted the bike. Ignoring the master's calls he revved the engine. After a quick spin, he was speeding off through a portal. With a huff, Riku turned pushing his hair back.
"So what happens now Master Riku?" Duncan retorted
"Easy we teach you what we know about the cookie spooky darkness," Xion announced
Duncan froze in place at her words. All his life he heard Darkness was not tampered with. Now she says that she likes it some sort of plaything. Looking to her side he found a reluctantly smiling Riku. The master smile gave him some reassurance in this task. He could only smile as Riku touched his shoulder.
"It's easy with the right guide." He said softly
She hadn't felt so useless since that day. Her hand twitched in muscle memory to no response. Turning to where her blade hung she frowned. The blade had stayed perfectly in place. Plucking the weapon from the display it felt heavier in her hands.
"Master Kairi, what was Master Sora like ?"
"That's a hard question to answer," Kairi whispered sadly
Looking back Monstrellor Evie smiled sadly. Behind their vessel from this peaceful world. She hadn't expected to be departing this peaceful world so soon. With a quiet hum, their ship roared to life. A quiet huff escaped her companion.
"If we stayed there we would have only brought Darkness." He mumbled
"Maybe not you don't know that." She replied smiling at him
"I do know that, I drag Darkness like a tail it follows me like a shadow." He snapped
With a hop, she crossed the small cockpit. Taking his face in her hands she placed her forehead against his. She could feel darkness echoing from his heart. Cautiously she smiled at him before stepping away.
"Your darkness doesn't mean you have to be evil." She whispered
