Alexis stood in the center of a prison of thousands upon thousands of books that Lidia had provided to him for research.
Alexis, while an inorganic life-form, had an absurd analytical ability. He was capable of reading and memorizing over 40 books within an instant, and he was still going on to read even more.
There was a bit of a problem that stumped him currently, though..

"Alexis: Damnit, no no.. This isn't it!" Alexis, although having read dozens and dozens of books, was getting stumped on a single problem.
"Alexis: Trying to manipulate the Aethyr this way is difficult as difficult can fucking get." He'd been trying to create a new skill from the knowledge he had absorbed, dozens of physics and math books had been blown through in an instant to create it, but he was still getting completely stumped in his endeavor.

"Alexis: Fuck, is there anything here that isn't completely useless!?" Alexis conjured up an enormous boulder with [Lesser Stone Construction] taking up around 80% of his Aethyr. In a fit of rage, he launched the boulder into the solid stone wall, blasting through it and generating a small earthquake in Lidia's library.. She'll probably discuss that with him Alexis once she gets her hands on him.

"Alexis: Sh-shit, I should probably fix that before Lidia kills me-" Alexis stumbled to rebuild the wall using [Lesser Stone Construction], completing the task after about an hour.
He slid back against the now reconstructed wall, sighing internally.

"Alexis: God, what am I even doing?" At this point, he was just thinking of giving up. He knew, he had more than enough knowledge, but applying that knowledge to a task like this wasn't something anybody could do. Especially somebody who was just some criminal nobody in his past life, a failure in the eyes of normal people.

"Alexis: Meh. I guess I don't need to do this anyway." Alexis had long since forgotten his humanity, nor could he really commit to anything beyond what he was currently doing. He had no dreams now, no ambitions, and no passion in his life. |
He was just a stone, and he had no more qualms with just giving up.

"Alexis: Huh. I wonder if this is just where I stay forever. Not like I can age. Can't get sick, nor do I need to breathe or eat. No blood, no organs, no nothing. So I'm gonna live forever. Do I even have a soul? What even is a soul? I don't understand this..."

As he lost his focus, the color of the Aethyr in the air became more profound in his non-existent eyes. Aethyr always looked like a colorful rainbow to him, when he was newly reincarnated, all he could really see was an amalgamation of rainbows. It was a rather nice feeling to be surrounded by this color once again as if you discarded its ability to induce seizures in humans, it was a majestic sight.

"Alexis: Hm. Maybe I can take a nap. I don't need to sleep, but maybe if I force myself to do it I'll be able to sleep." He would at least give it a shot, cause at this point he felt like he needed to rest his consciousness before he even attempted doing anything else.

He relaxed his mind and imagined how it felt to sleep before, in his past life.
"Alexis: It was like you were drifting off into another dimension. You relaxed you're muscles, and drifted off into the other world.

What the fuck?

Huh? Who the hell was that? Was I asleep? I still don't feel anything, so I wouldn't be able to tell you anyway.
