I had been relishing my ability to move on non-flat surfaces for a while now. During my entire life in this world, I had always relied on Judas to help me move over steep floors or hills.
"Alexis: Fuck, this is so awesome." I stayed planted on the ceiling for a while. If I could smile and jidder I'd be literally vibrating. I know I know, to most it may not seem like a big achievement, but for me who has had to rely on others to move on steep surfaces, this is like hitting oil for me!
"Lidia: Alexis, I will never be able to understand you're choice of hobbies. Please drop down from the ceiling." And here comes the buzzkill, a Druidic Spirit who was crossing her arms with a look of bewilderment and confusion.
"Alexis: Fine Fine, just make sure to catch me." I sighed internally as I released [Imperium Physics] which caused me to fall straight into Lidia's right hand. She chuckled, lowering her other hand to gently rub my top side. I didn't feel it, but I assumed it to be a display of affection.
"Lidia: Why even were you up there? I guess you've gotten some new skills?"
"Alexis: Yep, I don't feel like describing them all, but I got one that allows me to mess with physics if I know how it works."|
"Lidia: And with this potentially amazing ability, you decided to use it to move up walls and stick to vertical surfaces."
"Alexis: Yes. Yes, I did."
"Lidia: This was necessary for what reason? If I may ask."
"Alexis: Hey, cut me some slack! Do you have any idea how annoying it is to only be able to move across flat surfaces, without being able to jump?"
"Lidia: It sounds rather troubling. But Alexis, this was the first thing you thought to do with your new abilities?"
"Alexis: I will not be shamed for enjoying my new abilities." Lidia softly chuckled as she pulled a chair over to sit down in, laying me in her lap.
"Lidia: Judas informed me of your plans to depart."
"Alexis: Oh, yeah we were getting ready to head out. Sorry, I got so absorbed at the moment that I forgot to say goodbye."
"Lidia: Don't worry, Alexis. But before you leave, we have to have a discussion. It's about Judas, and how you were able to obtain these skills."
"Alexis: Well Judas I understand, but why are you concerned about how I got my new abilities?"
"Lidia: Alexis, I am very old. I have met my fair share of Voyagers just like you. Where did you travel to gain your powers?"
"Alexis: Ah."
"Alexis: How many years has it been?"
It's been 3243. There are 1757 years left until you're training is complete. You've done well not to lose your mind.
"Alexis: No. I've definitely lost something, something important. I just can't seem to put my finger on it though."
Right, the guy from the underworld said that he would train me for 5000 years. I couldn't really call it training, more like being assaulted mentally. He's been shoving knowledge into me for these past 3243 years without letting up, and to not lose my mind, I continuously remembered what I had waiting for me when I completed this 'training.'
Although, I didn't have much. I only knew two people, Judas and Lidia, and I'd eventually have to leave Lidia to continue my journey. What was really waiting for me back there?
Probably some sort of mental trauma from this experience. To top it off with the possibility that the person I hold most dear is possibly some other being, and may die if we run into a stronger enemy.
