We finally met her; Gilda Roberts and if I hadn't known better I would've thought she was an Italian female mob boss
She was suited up with a black six inches louboutin heels which I admired secretly. As she conversed with Tommy and Lucas, I felt out of place because they were all rich, I wondered if she was the type of woman Tommy wanted.
Her eyes shifted to me and I became nervous and worried that I'd not be enough but when she grinned and opened her arms wide for me all my insecurities flew out the window
"I've seen and heard so much about you, Betty Grover" she said as we hugged
"I have heard about you too"
"Oh what do you have to hear about this boring old crone" Gilda referred to herself and chuckled as we pulled away from each other, her cologne plastered on my nostrils
We all laughed
"So who's driving?" She asked
"Definitely me?" Stacey said
"I'm in" I voiced out and everyone cheered for me, Tommy was a bit shocked but he sort of looked impressed.
I wasn't going to sit back and watch others have fun, starting from today I was going to be happy for me. No more sulking around in my sorrows.
"Well babes I'm sorry" Tommy shrugged and everyone clapped for him as he pointed to Lucas
He came to stand beside me and kissed my forehead
"So I'm taking it, it's the men against the ladies" Gilda said with a soft laugh
"I don't have a partner" Marco raised his hands up and we all laughed
"Come on, I'd pair you up with someone, alright" Gilda winked at him and he blushed fiercely nodding his head
Lucas patted Marco on his shoulder
"She's old enough to be your mother" Lucas reminded him
"I hope Not too old to be under me in my bed" Marco winked and I chuckled beside him while everyone else gave him a 'really' look
We moved to where the cars were parked and lined up behind the start line, everyone went over to their cars.
I and Stacey went together for the first round ditching pouting Tommy with Lucas while Marco was stuck with another car racer. I think his was Derek.
Awesome" She said when she pressed a button and the car doors opened upwards
I giggled and she pressed the button again and they closed
Our automobile roared into life as soon as Stacey kick-started it.
"I'm so buying this car" Stacey squealed then we both strapped on our seatbelts, ready to move!!
After we had buckled up, we waited for the sound of the gun.
On both our sides were Tommy paired with Lucas and Marco paired with Derek.
