I woke up to a loud thud by door, maybe it was the mail man, so I quickly went to get the door. I hadn't heard from Mike and it was killing me, yesterday could have been our wedding if I
Wasn't selfish, dishonest and a complete cheat. I opened my door and saw a weird envelope on the floor and I Picked it looking around checking to see the person who left it but I didn't just a hooded figure but I brushed it away and and closed my door after I had gone inside.

I tossed the envelope on the kitchen counter where I was making pancakes. I really did not understand how I was coping, but I had to be strong, been with Mike gave me courage and I really loved him with all my heart. Damn!!! I was going to spend my entire life with him.

My mum hadn't called, I was sure she was still angry too but she had no right with all her numerous lovers, she fucking had no right to tell me shit but I wasn't going to tell her that.

I opened the letter after I had settled down and it read 'HE IS MINE'

I scoffed, maybe it was my next door neighbor who keeps arguing with his wife, maybe it got mixed up. I tossed the envelope in the bin and continued my meal, I had to think positive and try and forget Mike.

My friends came at about 4:30pm to my house, they always do that whenever I had a heart break, they did it in college when a my ex boyfriend broke my heart they kept visiting until they were sure I was better, but I know it was not about my heart but about the dinner I had with Bryant's family.

"Hey girls!!" I squealed. Letting them in and tossing them a nice beer.

"I want to hear everything" Maggie screamed taking her seat opposite me. She had always being the eager one

"Hello to you too" I said

"Don't mind Mag, she always so straightforward, but you better start talking" Fiona said taking a seat by side in the couch as I shook my head and laughed

"Okay okay..what do you want to know"

"The dinner!!!" They both screamed together

"They were really nice and I had a great time"

"They weren't snubs?" Fiona asked

"No they were nice and I Think his youngest sister adores me, I mean she sang I and Tommy a song" I said as I giggled

"What song?" Maggie asked. Such an inquisitive nature

"Thinking out loud" I said

"Hmm...people fall in love in mysterious ways" Fiona sang

Shit, that was the part of the song  I and Tommy had our moment staring into each other souls. But I wasn't going to tell my friends that obviously, they'd terrorize me.

"So you guys are dating now?" Maggie asked

"To his parents and the outside world yes but we know better" I said recalling Tommy's words.

The next morning, I had paced around my work place for more than twenty minutes, I didn't know how to talk to everyone or greet or say hi as I used to, I wasn't scared I was shy and a little intimidated. A lot of people suspected I might be sleeping with the boss before not because we were close, but you know the cliche boss and assistant stuff. But it never happened well it did as a mistake, once, and it cost me almost everything.
