A Sweet Mistake

Thirty nine

"Aaaah!!!!" Stacey screamed immediately she jumped out of the helicopter, that was all it took for me to start doubting I could do it too.

So we finally decided to Skydive and I was freaking out. Firstly, we arrived at the drop zone at the skydive Long Island. The place was deserted and there was no one here, if I was to be certain I'd say Tommy wanted a private skydiving experience.

We met with a few tandem instructors and people working at the office desk and they said our flight was ready, they took us to this place they call the ground school, there they taught us about the equipments and what they do, they taught us how to jump and how to land, how to tap a button so your parachute can come off, it all sounded crazy dangerous and intriguing at the same time, after that we were loaded into the plane, wearing our jumpsuits.

I was next and I had no clue how I was going to feel what I was going to feel, I was excited and worried at the same time, I had never tried something like this before it was never even in my to-do list

Tommy and I were partnered to sky dive together and I was grateful for it, he noticed how anxious I was and he kept whispering encouraging words to me the whole time, apparently he had done it before so he wasn't scared.

"Trust me" He told me and I nodded, believing him

My frap hat was in place, my googles as well, I had no clue on how to use the altimeter, I only knew it told us how high we are flying and that's all, I was going to leave the whole physics to Tommy our back pack contained a dual parachute system. We had to check everything was in place so our Tandem instructor had said.

"Ready?" Tommy yelled

"Yes!!!" I yelled back, the noise from the heli was deafening

Then we jumped

I shut my eyes tight as we fell, I was so scared my mind was already telling me I was going to die, I was freaking hyperventilating but when Tommy pulled out the parachute, I calmed down and opened my eyes

I looked down from the Vegas skyline and I do not see anything , I gasped in awe, it was a wonder, we kept floating down in air and it just felt surreal, like I was in space, although that's weird because I had never been to space before.

"Let's take a picture" Tommy whispered to me

I quickly brought my cellphone and we took pictures of us smiling, laughing, kissing, making funny faces. I was so happy I got to do my first skydiving experience and I did it with Tommy.

"Woah!!!!!" I screamed excitedly and put my hands up in the air, this was the life. It is true they say you never know what you are missing until you experience it. It was crazily fun, amazing, incredible it's like flying and falling at the same time it's just too awesome I can never to explain it better.

When we got to the drop zone and we landed , Lucas and Stacey were already waiting for us, I and Tommy waved at them and they waved back

"Took you both long enough love birds" Lucas teased

I shredded off our parachute and I launched myself on Tommy who returned the favor with an amazing embrace of his own

"Thank you thank you so much for this experience" I kissed him

"You're welcome, babe" he replied me "you were pretty awesome yourself"
