EPISODE TWO: The Birthday Kwami Surprise Part One

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Ladybug was running, her chest heaving up and down as she ran on the cold metal of the Eiffel Tower. Her long raven hair was back in her signature pigtails, her red ribbons shredded to pieces. She had claw marks on her face and tears were clear on her face. "NO!" she screamed as she neared the end of the platform. The Eiffel Tower looked strange, almost as if it was tipped over. Ladybug looked back behind her in terror as the sound of footsteps approaching was heard. "NO! PLEASE! I'M SORRY!!" Ladybug screamed as a ball of white magic can be seen getting closer to Ladybug.

The episode had already begun and Adrien was already gripping onto Nino while Alya looked terrified at the screen. "W-what is this?" Adrien asked as he couldn't tear his eyes away from the screen. Nino shook his head and tried to calm both his best friend and his girlfriend down, "A-are those Chat Noir's claws on her face?"

"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" A demonic voice screamed as the camera zoomed in on Ladybug's fearful bluebell eyes.

Adrien didn't think he could take anymore, seeing Marinette injured and scared was really pulling his heart. "I've never seen her that scared." Alya whispered.

"YOU DID THIS TO ME!"

The sound of Marinette's phone alarm going off startles Marinette awake as she immediately sits up. All the kwamis that had been sleeping on her went flying, shocked at being woken up the kwamis looked back at a sobbing Marinette. "Oh no, not again" Tikki whispered as the now awake kwamis flew back to Marinette who was holding her mouth and trying to quietly sob but was failing. "It's okay guardian, it's okay it was just another nightmare." Trixx tried to comfort Marinette by wrapping his tail around her neck and pushing his body against her neck. "It's okay my Queen, we are here." Pollen tried to nuzzle Marinette's face but the girl's hands were on her mouth so tight the tiny bee kwami couldn't squeeze in.

Paris was silent for a few seconds before the reality that it was a nightmare sank in. It was a terrifying way to open the episode, it had caused Paris to think the worst had happened to Marinette. But even if it was just a nightmare it had shook the citizens of Paris to their core. Adrien let out a relieved sigh. "Thank God she wasn't actually in danger."

Despite all the kwamis now awake trying to help comfort Marinette their efforts were for nothing as the sobbing girl kept crying, her cries getting louder and louder. It was only about time when the sound of heavy thumping was heard. Quickly the kwamis flew back into the miracle box that was still in the bag by Marinette's bed. The camera pans over to the trap door that leads to the other parts of Marinette's home as Tom Dupain-Cheng bursts through the trap door. Worry and fear of his daughter being hurt is clear on his face. "Marinette?!" he calls to his daughter as his big body squeezes through the small entrance, Sabine Dupain-Cheng just barely seen behind him as Tom gets through the trap door.

Marinette is still crying as Tom climbs the bed, breaking a step or two as he crawls onto the bed and gently pulls his daughter into a hug. "Sssshhhh, sweetie it's okay, shhh deep breaths, deep breaths." Sabine slowly enters the frame as she stares up at her husband and crying daughter sadly. "Everything is alright, you are safe. It was just a bad dream, nothing more." Marinette snuggles into her father's embrace and slowly calms down and stops crying. The camera pans over to a sad Lotus who is hidden behind Marinette's cat body pillow along with Tikki. The sun can be seen through the windows as a new day starts.
