Numb.

Adrien felt so numb, he couldn't feel anything. His world was shattering around him, the love of his life, his lady, his Marinette. Believed that he didn't love her, that he wanted nothing to do with her, she thought he hated her. She was planning a life where he wasn't a part of it, she had already planned to move away, away from him, away from Paris. She wanted to move back to the small town that she had grown up in, she was only going to come back to Paris to defeat the Akumas, and then she would leave, no more patrols, no more Marinette, no more warm feeling. And kids, she wanted kids, she wanted three kids...three. His heart ached at the thought of another man giving her those kids, he wanted to be the one to give her those kids, he wanted to give her anything she wanted as long as it would make her happy.

Now he had no chance.

Now he...

He couldn't breathe

He couldn't...

"ADRIEN!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Adrien?"

Adrien shot up out of his bed, his chest was heavily going up and down, his heart was thumping like crazy. His perfect blonde hair was in complete chaos of bed head and he felt like crying, no sobbing. Looking around he noticed that he was in his room, the stars and moon greeting him with their gorgeous lights. "Kitty?" Adrien froze at the sleepy voice, he knew that voice. "Mmmhh Kitty? What's wrong?" Adrien looked over to his side where the voice came from. Long raven locks and bare freckled skin covered by white and black sheets along with a gorgeous half-awake Marinette laying on her side met his eyes. Her long messy raven hair fell over her bare freckled shoulder, the red miraculous mark glowing in the moonlight, her scars only helping reveal her beauty. He immediately pounced on her slamming his lips onto hers, grabbing her, and pulling her close to his bare body, god he just needed her close, he just needed to feel her. She let out a squeak as she was silenced by his lips, her hands moved against his bare chest, her skin felt warm against him, he always loved that warm feeling.

Her lips tasted like strawberry, her scent of bakery pastries filled his nose. His hands moved to the back of her head, fingers tangling in her raven hair trying to pull her even closer to him. She was kissing back trying to keep up with the pace of his kisses. Finally, he needed air and slowly pulled out leaving a swollen-lipped Marinette whose cheeks were a beautiful shade of red, her raven hair sticking to her face as she stared shocked at Adrien. "Kitty? What was that for?" Adrien smiled and hugged Marinette, tears began to run down his cheeks, "I had a nightmare m'lady, that you were gone and I was really all alone again." soft hands moved to cup Adrien's face, and he looked deep into her eyes.

"Oh, Adrien..."

Her eyes fluttered open and a cruel smirk appeared on her face.

His heart dropped.

"...you are all alone."

Adrien woke up to the soft feeling of his bedsheets and the coolness of his pillow. His head was pounding and his body felt like shit. He was crying and his wet pillow was enough to prove that he had been crying for a long time. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, it was raining out. That was the first thing he took notice of. The second thing was that it was now at least dark out, the sun was no longer up in the sky and the screens were still high up in the air. He looked around and saw he was in his room and no longer at school, the rain pounded hard on his glass window. He let out a sob as realized Marinette was not with him and that reality had played a sick joke on him.
