Oooh boy, before we get into today's chapter, I have two little things to say for today:

Holy hell, this is gonna have some TW. Mention of blood, death, nothing to live for, all that kinda jazz in today's chapter. All I gotta say is that this one is gonna be quite brutal, hope ya enjoy ;D, and feel free to skip this one!!

Luz, with Eda's staff, slid to the other side of the corridor, but to no luck, Emperor Belos appeared right behind her with a tilt of his head.

"Do you think you could get away so easily human? You wanted to challenge me, why the quaking in your BOOTS?!" He used whatever magic force that consumed his hand and pulled Luz up in the air with a red aura around her, making her drop Owlbert to the floor.

"No! Owlbert!" Luz tried reaching out to him, but her body was forced to be tensed up.

The Emperor edged closer, meeting face to face with the human that raided his home.

"I've told you countless times before human. Eda the Owl Lady is a criminal and will be punished one way or another, if you are going to try and stop me, then with no hesitation will I force you away from my path." He tightly clenched his fist and threw her across the hall, making her hit the wall and fall onto the floor.

"Gah..." Luz then sucked all the air through her teeth after she tried to move. Everything hurt, but she needed to get up. If not for her, then for Owlbert, for King, for Eda.

She picked something out from her pocket, but before she could use it to her advantage, the Emperor stood before her, looking down onto Luz's terrified face.

"There is no use in trying to fight human. Just give me the portal and I will let you go. Don't you want to save your dear Eda? Or would you rather die alongside her?" He forced down his staff right next to her, but Luz just gave him a smile.

"I'd rather you pay the PRICE!" Luz moved her arm over an un-tapped glyph and finally pressed her finger on it, a shard of ice immediately poked through and chipped off a bit of the Emperor's mask.

CRACK!

The end of the Emperor's staff was now in the human's stomach.

She slowly turned her head to the staff, her body now shaking.

She looked at the staff in horror before she turned back up to see the Emperor's mask once again.
