"Tio" the little girl questioned her best friend looking at the night sky.
"Yeah Ana" he answers back never taking his gaze off the stars.
"Were gonna be friends forever. Right?" She asked again now looking at him.
He turned his head to look at her. His brown irises clashed with her emerald green orbs. To him her eyes were beautiful. They were one of things he loved most about her. She was his little emerald. His.
"Right. Friends forever, you are my other half." He stated confidently.
And though they were at the meek age of 4 his statement held no lie. She was his other half, his best friend. And just as much as she was his, he was hers. No matter how old they got that would never change. Nothing was gonna tear them apart even if it meant that they had to go through his small body to keep it that way.
"Pinky Promise?" She asked lifting up her right pinky to him. She believed her best friend whole heartedly. But she wanted something to seal it with. Make the statement forever.
"Pinky Promise." He said lifting his pinky up to wrap around hers.
She let out a beaming smile towards him, one he didn't hesitate to return. They left their pinky intertwined staring back up at the night sky. The bright stars went on for miles and miles. "SAGE, ADAN COME INSIDE ITS GETTING LATE" A heavy Italian accent called.
Both kids looked up to see Angelo Roman standing at the side door with a soft smile on his face. Though he might not ever verbally admit it he loved the two together. He gladly returned it letting off a smirk. "You're on."
Both kids ran for the house not knowing that would be the last moment they remembered each other by. For the following night was the night the Italian mafias princess was stolen away.

When brown clashed with green it left them both frozen. Adan heard on his way to class that a girl with green eyes brighter than emeralds was with the Roman boys.
