The room was deathly silent as Sage stormed off after hearing her door slammed shut is when Mario sprung into action going to punch Marco who was too stunned to fully process his younger brother punch. Mario was quickly grabbed by Gino and Enzo who tried to pull him away from their other brother.
"YOU ASSHOLE WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT TO HER" Mario yelled trying to get out of their grip.
"I-I" Marco tried to say but he was still in shock at what his baby sister had just spoken to him. "I don't know."
"Of course you don't" Mario scoffed as he finally got his brothers hand off of him. "You are too blinded by the hurt of your mommy issues that you don't realize the hurtful shit you say. Well guess what Marco everyone in this fucking family has mommy issues but you don't see us taking it out on our sister do you? Get out of your sorry ass feelings and realize it's not just you that has shit going on." Mario spat before walking away and going up to his own room and slamming the door needing some time to cool down.
Marco stood still letting the words his little brother spoke to him sink in. Though he would never admit it out loud he knew Mario was right. He had always believed the Sage and their mother had a good relationship. A perfect mother and child relationship that he never got to experience growing up. Yeah, sure it was wrong to hold it against Sage because she had no control over it. But, in his mind that was easier than holding over their dead mother who he already despised. Now though he regretted ever thinking so illy of his sister. He knew he should've never said those things to her or treated her the way that he has. But apologizing is not something Marco is used to doing. And saying you are going to apologize is easier said than done. How do you apologize for bringing up trauma from the one woman you share hatred with?
"Marco go to your room, I will be in there shortly to talk with you." Angelo said standing up from where he sat.
"Yes sir" Marco said leaving to go to his room. Matteo followed after him hoping to bring some sort of comfort to his twin knowing he felt bad for what just happened.
Soon only who was left was the Garcia's and the eldest of the Roman family. No one said anything they all were just thinking about what just occurred. Everything was sinking in for them about the youngest Roman. Why she is the way she is, why she acts the way she acts. Everything as much as it horrified them made sense. And it pained them to know what their little girl had to go through all on her own. They were sure that they had only scratched the surface of what Sage had gone through and to made them sick to think that there was more. That she had gone through more than what she os letting on.
"I'm gonna go talk to her." Dom said standing up from his seat and walking out. The silence in the room was suffocating to him and all he wanted was to hold his baby sister in his arms.
He hurriedly walked up the steps and down the hallway to his sisters room. He paused for a second before hesitantly knocking on her door.
"Sage can we talk?" He spoke through the door.
"Go away!" She yelled slightly back to him.
When she spoke Dom could hear the slight crack in her voice. It pained him to hear her hurting and not letting him help. "Ana please, let me in sweetheart."
And in that moment Sage knew he wasn't just talking about letting him into her room. Let me in meant let him into her heart. Let her older brother be her older brother and comfort her when she needs it most. So with great reluctancy, she unlocked the door for him. Not just into her room but her heart.
No one said anything as he left and it wasn't long before the Garcias stood saying they were going to leave and give the family time to themselves. Angelo thanked his friends for being there for his family before walking them out with a promise to call them later with an update. Adan was torn because he knew he needed to leave with his family but every part of his being longed to go upstairs and talk to the one person he had missed in his whole wide world. He wanted to comfort her, but most of all understand her. All he wanted was to understand what his Ana had gone through and help her through it no matter the cost. But he also knew it wasn't the time. When that time would come he didn't know, he just hoped to was soon.
Angelo let out a sigh as he walked back into the room where his last two sons were sat talking quietly to each other. "Can one or both of you go talk to Mario while I deal with he twins, please?"
They both nodded before standing though, before leaving Gino spoke. "What are we going to do with Owen Dad?"
Angelo froze completely forgetting that Owen was somewhere in one of their warehouse cells waiting their arrival for questioning. He let a sinister smile come to his face as he spoke his next words.
"We are going to make him pay."
