[ Y/N ]
[ best friends house ]

I knocked on the front door of the Moreau's resident. I scrolled through Instagram as I waited. When I heard the door unlocking, I turned it off.

"Hi Y/n, Connie's in her room with Julie," Mrs, Moreau says.

"Thank you Eve," I say as I make my way up the stairs to Connie's room, where I find her hanging upside down from her bed and Julie flipping through a magazine.

"What's up bitches," I plopped onto the bed, next to Connie. Copying her position.

"Nothing, we've been trying to find a plan," Connie says, playing with the rings on my fingers.

"For what?"

"To get you to go to the haunted house with us," Julie says, finding her way to her stomach and playing with my hair, specifically the red highlights.

"Why? You guys know how much I hate when those assholes pops out of nowhere," I groan, pulling my phone out.

"Yeah, but you like scary stuff and it's Halloween. The only time of year of haunted houses, so why not go?" She asks me.

"Because I hate when those assho-"

"Adam's going," she interrupts me, "and he's only going because the boys told him that you're going."

I rolled my eyes. My freshman year, I met the Ducks. I became really close with the girls because I never really liked hanging with boys. But that changed when I became friends with the whole Ducks team.

Two years later, I developed feelings for Adam. We hung out a lot this summer, but ever since school started we barely said a word to each other. Applying for colleges, studying, working, etc. it took up most of my time and probably his too.

I look at the girls and maybe considered going.

"He even bought everybody tickets because he thinks you're going," Julie says, wiggling her eyebrows.

"And he does need somebody to ride the rides with, plus he was like, 'if Y/n goes, then I'll go'," she says, poking at my sides.

"Okay fine, I'll go."

"Yess!" They shout together.

"We should've said that in the first place," Connie says, Julie nodded her head in agreement, making me roll my eyes at them playfully.

As we walked up to the ticket booth where all the guys were, I was getting a bit nervous cause I haven't really spent time with Adam.

"There they are," Dwayne shouts as he makes his way towards us, throwing his arms over mine and Julie's shoulders.

"Took you guys long enough," Charlie says, rolling his eyes.

"Oh shut it Charlie," Connie says, bumping his shoulders as she makes her way to her boyfriend.

I see Adam passing out the wristbands so I went up to him and smiled. When he sees me, he sends me that cute ass smile that makes my inside melt.

"Here, I'll help you," he spoke, putting my wristband on.

"Thank you," I smile, "for this and paying for the wristband."

"No problem, just a friendly gesture," he winks at me, making my stomach flip like crazy.

"Come on lovebirds, I wanna hit the mazes," Dean shouts at us.

We began walking to the entrance where they had metal detectors.

Once everyone got in, we started walking. Adam and I had our own conversation, our screams interrupting as different people scares us.
