summary: y/n returns to eden hall, surprising the ducks, especially adam. but in way where she moves her body.

3rd

when y/n left the school and to a different state, it broke the ducks heart. especially her best friend, adam.

adam loved y/n, more than just a friend, way more than a best friend. he wish he told her before she left, but he didn't have the courage too. his heart broke every time he thought about her.

he regretted not telling her before she left. he thought if he told her, she would stay. but there was also that chance where he tells her and she still leaves. and he didn't want to risk that.

so now here he stood with his friends, in his home. frowning as he looked at another picture of him and y/n on his phone.

he smiled as he swiped to the next picture, but was found listening to his best friends laughter. he was in love with her. her laugh, her smile, her voice, her eyes, etc. he was in love with just her.

and his friends saw that. connie and julie shared a sad look with each other before looking back at their blonde head friend, who went back to frowning.

charlie sighed as he watched his best friend stare at his phone, which he's been doing everyday for the past year and half now.

y/n left in the middle of sophomore year. and now they're all in their senior year.

adam acts as if he's the only one who misses
y/n, but so do the rest of the ducks. they miss her just as much as he does. they haven't seen her in a year and half, and they dreaded not seeing her.

"oh hello kids, didn't think you guys were gonna be here." mrs. banks says as she smiles at the 13 young adults.

"hi mom," adam said, finally looking away from his phone. his friends stared at him with hooded eyes. "uh- what?"

"so now you want to get off your phone?" jesse asked, an annoyed look on his face. jesse missed y/n, very much. but it got him annoyed when adam would just sulk around about her 24/7, even at practice.

"uh, yeah?" he nervously said as he scratched the back of his neck.

"okay kiddos," mrs banks called out. "are you guys not going to the dance competition?" she happily asked, gaining confusion looks from the teens.

"uh, why?" connie asked.

"why are you so excited about it mrs. banks?" averman asked.

"will there be those blueberry muffins like last time?" goldberg asked happily.

"just asking, and just because. and yes goldberg." mrs. banks smiled. "you guys should go, something good will come out if it."

"and what is that?" luis asked.

"you'll see."

after talking for 30 minutes, the ducks decided to go to the dance competition. they took 4 cars, some going with mrs. banks.
