summary: adam and y/n flirts all the time, now they finally confess their feelings.

-

i laughed as adam scrunched his nose up. we were sat in the dining hall, and i made him smell the vinegar that i had to bring to chemistry.

"why does it smell like that?" he asked as he covered his nose.

i looked at him in disbelief. "you never smelled this before?" i asked and he shook his head no.

"oh my goodness banks, have you been living under a rock?" i asked, he smirked and nodded his head.

"yeah, i'm patrick's cousin." he took out a pair of black sunglasses and put them on. and spread his arms and legs out, as he was sitting on a chair.

i laughed at his awkward position but stopped. "hey! are those my sunglasses?" i asked. he just laughed. "your mom said she couldn't find it."

"i know, i was hiding it the whole time."

"asshole." i hit his chest. he held onto the part i hit and he pouted.

i smiled as i stared into his blue eyes. the way he looked at me gave me butterflies. i tried to hide my nervousness but my burning cheeks weren't helping.

"you're beautiful," adam softly said. i blushed then rolled my eyes.

"shut up asshole." although i acted as i hated it, i loved it. but i'm just good at hiding it.

adam has been my best friends since goodwills. after getting a scholarship from Eden Hall, my parents decided to move to minnesota.

when my parents met the banks family, they became really close and that made adam and i closer. now we're close as ever.

and what sucks, is that i like adam. not as a friend, or best friend. but like a crush.

of course i saw him as a best friend my freshman year and the beginning of my sophomore year. but towards the end, i started catching feelings and i hate that i have to hide them.

i don't want to ruin any friendship i have with him. it sucks knowing that you can't just be nothing more than best friends, with your best friend.

"hey love birds, stop flirting and help us pick a movie for movie night." goldberg shouted

i rolled my eyes. "goldberg, why don't you shut it and stick a donut down your mouth."

"no need to be so mean, but maybe i will. wont be the first time." he smirked and chuckled. we all looked at him disgusted. "what? she's the one that brought it up."

"yeah, but she didn't take it that far." adam said.

"oh shush banks, stop defending your girlfriend." goldberg flipped adam off and finished eating his bag of chips.

"we're just-" adam and i shouted

"best friends," everybody shouted.
