Lori's POV
I finally saw Solana walk through the doors of the place we were staying for a little. Choyce wasn't far behind her but I ran up to Solana. I held her right in my arms.
"You can't leave me like that again," I held her for so long. I gave her a passionate kiss.
"Okay yall being real gay if y'all fuck tonight I want parts," Ryan walked in a joked , she gave Solana a brief hug and then hugged Choyce.
"Damn i miss yo obnoxious ass," Alex went and dapped up Choyce.
Everyone gathered together and spoke. They caught us up to speed. The idea of Solana almost dying made me want to protect her more than anything. It just felt like Choyce was doing a better job than me.
"Listen Solana ion wanna get you back in the game but if we gon stay up here we need a little hustle first," Nelly spoke to Solana
She nodded her head , she understood.
"I can help," I budged in. I never sold drugs before or killed people but I can't be weak.
"Nah you good, stay back I'm sure we got this covered," Choyce spoke as she grabbed a bottled water from the fridge
"What just like you had it when y'all were kidnapped?"
"Yeah but we're back now, and we're alive. We've done things like this and you haven't—which is fine,"
"Solana you think I should come?" I looked at her. I wanted her honesty
"Look , Lori I just think it's a better idea if you stay with the smarties," she looked over at Rome and Ryan.
I exhaled. I was upset. She thinks I can't protect
"Listen listen, Ryan's here too and Alex will run back and forth so you know that's we're good for real," she took my hand and kissed it
"Maybe Choyce could stay and Rome can go," I offered
Choyce chuckled to herself, "you know maybe Solana should stay so she can be under your watch so she doesn't break any of your rules,"
Choyce walked away from the room
"Choyce," Solanas voice was stern
This made Choyce stop and turn towards her.
"What are you trying to say?" Her eyebrow raised
"Listen Choyce is gonna come with us for a little, we'll do the first round, Solana you stay back with Lori and you guys can figure everything out okay?" Rome jumped in. From what I knew from my time here Rome hates arguments or bickering.
So we all shut up for his sake.
Solana tried to grab Choyce's arm but she snatched it back and walked through the door. I could see Choyce had a temper.
Ryan and Alex cleared from the kitchen as Nelly, Rome and Choyce went to do the job.
"What's wrong?" Solana looked into my eyes
"Her,"
"What about her?"
"I just feel like I can't protect you and I want to,"
Solana held my hands, "you don't need to protect me baby," she touched my face
"But I want to," I mumbled
She exhaled
"Listen I just want you to be safe, you know the isn't your area okay?" She whispered to me
"Love birds , Choyce needs back up," Alex came into the kitchen where we were.
"Go," I spoke to Solana.
"Okay," she responded
"It doesn't look good," I heard Alex say to Solana very lowly.
