Solanas POV
It's been 2 weeks since Choyce was shot. She was healing up real good though, Ryan was doing a real good job.
Lori's been real distant from me. And I couldn't understand why. I felt like my feelings have been scrambled all over the place.
"Hey," I spoke to Choyce , I saw her outside relaxing
"Hey," she responded
"What you doing out here?"
"Thinking,"
"About?" I sat next to her
"This.. where my life is right now,"
"I know this probably isn't what you imagined, or wanted,"
"I wanted to be with you Solana, I chose this,"
A smile crept on my face.
"Can I ask you something?" She looked over at me
"Yes?"
"Did something happen when you guys were in Quincy's house?"
I looked down and shook my head.
"No,"
"I saw you guys cuddling the other day, I know she likes you heavy at that," Lori looked away
"I was confused before. And I'm sorry for not telling you. My feelings and my mind, they've just been..."
"All over the place?" Lori and I laughed together.
"I'm just happy I can talk to you," I leaned into Lori. Resting on her shoulder.
"So what's the next move?"
"I'm not even sure, I feel like Marco and Kayla are done with the chase after what happen," I started thinking and putting my thoughts into it.

Choyce and I were out selling. Just a few rocks so we could get through the next week.
Nelly was in a car not too far, ready for us to go away.
Once we finished up we had a couple hundred. We got in car ready to go.
"What y'all think about going back?" I broke the silence.
"Going back where?" Choyce asked.
"Home."
"My bro's been taking care of my business but I miss it," Nelly added
"We should talk to Alex. What you think Marco just stopped? You think he's done?"
"He's been off us for more than a couple months now. Maybe he's over it," I shrugged
"Do you not know how gangs work?"
"I can check with my guys back home and see what's goin on," Nelly suggested.
Once we made it back to the crib we gathered everyone around.
"I won't lie I miss home," Ryan said
"I got a photography busy I gotta take care of man," Rome added
"This is a shitty idea," Alex twisted his face
"Someone with sense thank you," Choyce praised him
"Going back to where we ran away from?" Alex asked. "Solana you can't be serious,"
"I'll go with her and she'll be fine," Lori stood behind me, holding my right hand.
Choyce kissed her teeth, "like I've said before she can't protect shit for you Solana so don't be dumb,"
"Didn't you get shot ? And my best friend had to safe you?" Lori scowled.
"Okay look, if we all go back together and keep a look out, we should be fine. But life isn't going to be what it once was," Nelly explained
"It's settled we leave tomorrow," Rome got the final word. We all listen to him because he has the most sense.
"I'm not going," Choyce shrugged. "I'm not being a dumb ass right now," god shes so damn stubborn.
"That's fine," Lori responded , unfazed.
"Please come," the two words slipped out my mouth before I could stop them.
Choyce smiled, "because you asked so nicely," she touched my chin and went into her room.
Lori sucked her teeth moving away from me.
"Chile," Ryan spoke under her breath.
"We leave tonight," Nelly announced, "ain't no trace of him back home."
Alex shook his head but went into his room to pack. Everyone brought very little, there was nothing really to pack. Most of us fit in one car, but we called Quincy to bring the rest of us back.
The ride in the night was long. I rode with Nelly and Lori since.
"Y'all sure y'all wanna go back?" Quincy asked. "I don't got a good feeling."
"It's okay," I assured him as we continued our way back.
