Jeff sat down on the log. I quickly pulled off my sweater, and i rolled up his jeans and gently dabbed the wound. "You didn't have to use your sweater Jane, you should of just used my shirt or something." He said. "Well, it's too cold for you to expose your skin." "Same for you." We looked at eachother. "Why do you care about me so much, so suddenly?" Jeff asked. I actally didn't know why either. But i have always cared about him, like a brother. " i don't know Jeff. You always are trying to make me happy. And i appreciate that." I responded. His face became a flushed red color. He suddenly sat up and pulled me into his chest. "Jane, i love you." He whispered. He has never said that to me before. His words lit my heart up, and i just had the nerve to hug him back. "I love you too, Jeff." I said hugging him a little tighter than he was hugging me. I tried to get out of the hug, but he kept on pulling me closer. "Jeff, you cant let go now." I hear him laugh. He finally does. "Okay, okay. I just wanted to let you know that." He said. The bleeding eventally stopped, and i tied my sweater around his wound. I helped him sit down on the ground, and lay down. I layed down beside him. We both just layed there in silence and stared at the stars we could see through the circular crack in the trees above us. After a while, i noticed Jeff begining to fall asleep. His face shined in the moonlight, and his gentle snoring filled the silence of the night. I gently rubbed his shoulder as he slept. I peacefully dozed off. We both layed next to eachother all night long.
