I Can't Remember If I Cried

Sorry for the long wait, I kind of lost interest in it but I hate it when people leave loose ends so here goes. I'll probably end it soon, sorry.

I looked at the bundle of blankets, and felt a bit numb. This was really happening. This was really happening. This was really happening. I slowly unwrapped the blanket around him to look at his face. He already had a tuft of my black hair sticking straight up, with his eyes squeezed shut. He had Lily's nose and my face shape. Lily petted his hair down, but it wouldn't stay. She laughed softly and said in a quiet voice, "Dammit James, you had to give home your hair." I chuckled back at her and whispered, "Its dominant Lily pad." The nurse walked in and cleared her throat. "Some people here to see you." Sirius, Remus, Frank Longbottom came in along with Alice Prewett, Marlene McKinnon, and Ariadne Black. (Sorry for those who don't like me including her, but in my other story as Lily's best friend, so I thought I should add her.) "Moony, Padfoot, Frank you guys came!" I exclaimed. Ariadne crossed her arms. "Oh and what am I, chopped liver?!" I laughed, "Of course not, Shifty." (For those who read my other book, this is a bit of foreshadowing.) Ari was the one and only girl marauder, though she didn't really prank much after first year. I gave her a swift hug, then pouted. "Why weren't you at the wedding." Her face grew sad. She whispered, "I was with Kingsley." My parents were pretty much the only parents for her, besides McGonnigal, really so it affected her just as much, perhaps more because of her past. But that's for a different story. Lily smiled gently at her best friend. She and Ariadne had been the closest of their group, rather like me and Sirius. I saw moony put an arm around her. "So." I winked "Are there wedding bells in your future?" Moony flushed red, but Shifty stood upright. "Right!" She exclaimed. "I forgot to tell you." She held up her hand and showed off her antique plain silver engagement ring. "Damn moony, finally." I laughed as Padfoot glared at him threateningly. Shifty glared right back and Sirius shifted uneasily from foot to foot. She smirked with triumph. I facepalmed. "Right, here's my son!" I said gesturing excitedly at the bundle like a little kid at Christmas. All the girls sighed at me and everyone crowded around. Harry opened his eyes for the first time. Ari cooed and picked him out of Lily's arms staring into his shockingly emerald eyes. She looked back and forth between Harry and Lily, comparing the shades. "He has your eyes." She said replacing him in Lily's arms. "Well no sh*t, Sherlock." Lily replied, confusing everyone but Ari and Remus, who laughed. I picked up my little son and bounced him around tickling him. It was love at first sight.

Lily POV:
I watched James bounce harry around the room and giggled at them. I turned to see Ariadne stare amusedly at me. "You'll get it soon." I looked over at Remus who was talking to Sirius and laughing at James. Very soon.
