I Can't Remember If I Cried

Sorry I've been so long!!!!!! Word of the day: Cookies. They are life. Whew! ok here it goes...

James POV:

What did she say? No, she can't have. "I said its a boy." She says again confused. No, no, no, no! The prophecy! Dumbledore told me, but it can't be true. In nine months it will be the end of July! "I think I have to sit down." I say shakily. "James? What's wrong?" Lily says in a carful tone. "It's nothing, just the fact were having a baby is just hitting home." I smile shakily. The nurse seems to buy it, but Lily seems confused. I send her a look, begging her not to press it until we get home. Lily smiles and says, "Well healer, I suppose we should be getting home now?" God Lily's amazing. The healer nods and smiles as she shoos us away. We step through the grate, and arrive at home. Lily says, "What happened back there?" I take a deep breath. "Dumbledore told me a prophecy..." I close my eyes and recite. "The one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches...Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...And the dark lord marks him as his equal,but he will have a power the dark lord knows not.... And wait her must die at the hands of another for neither can live while the other survives...the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord will be born as the seventh month dies..." When I finally open my eyes as I finish, Lily looks pale.Then she voiced the thing I was thinking. "WE have thrice defied him, HE is due at the end of July, neither can live while the other survives..." she finishes miserably. I try to think positive. "Hey, maybe voldemort won't mark harry as his equal, maybe neither can live while the other survives means Harry will kill him." "Or Voldemort will kill harry.." Lily sobs. I kneel infront of her and whisper, "Lily look at me. I promise you that I will do whatever is needed to keep you and the baby safe." And then on a lighter note, "Evens, when have I ever lied to you." I smirk. Lily gives a watery chuckle. "Can it potter!" "You know you love me, Lily flower! Just admit it." Lily tries her best to scowl but I can tell my antics amuse her. Victory!
