"Never thought you'd be happy to see stormtroopers," Mayfeld says what Din is thinking as he holds his side in pain. He misses his beskar so much. If offered so much more protection.
But he misses Kenna more. But they made it. Now comes the hard part.

"You have something I want. You have what is rightful mine,"
"You may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of. But you do not,"
"In a few moments, they'll be mine,"
"They mean more to me than you will ever know," Gideon continues.
"Hand her over, now,"

Mayfeld salutes back at them with a weak smile and uneasy posture. The troopers keep saluting at them as Mayfeld finally pulls into the Refinery and stops.
"Here they are," One trooper shouts.
"They made it," Another exclaims. All of them begin to cheer and raise their fists.
"Yes!"
"Glory of the Empire!" Din and Mayfeld exit, sliding down their ladders as officers and assaults cheer and praise them for their amazing work. Din and Mayfeld meet up at the front as troopers pat them on their back. Mayfeld responds with a wave of his hand and a nod.
"Okay. All we gotta do is find a terminal," He says lowly so only the Mandalorian can hear.
"Ya did it!" Another trooper chants.
"Bringing glory to the Empire!" A shoretrooper praises with a clap of his hand.
"It's probably in the officers' mess," Mayfeld says, leaning closer to Din while also saluting others and nodding his head with a weak smile.
"I can't believe they pulled that off," One says and Mayfeld scoffs.
"If Kenna was here, she'd kill 'em for underestimating us," He says and Din nods, knowing very well she hates anyone being underestimated, especially after what happened with Toro Calican, he won't forget their late-night talk.

After settling the child in bed, he opens the door to see Kenna in the room, looking at him with glassy eyes. He carefully steps inside but stands by the door.
"A...Did he hurt you any more than what you said?" She plays with her hair and averts eye contact but nods. "What did he do?" She doesn't say anything. "He...did it, didn't he?" She nods again. "Why did you lie?"
"You took me in to protect the child..." She looks away. "I can't even protect myself against him and it...it's embarrassing to talk about it...and it's dirty...and you already have so much stress-"
"Never lie to me again, I want to know everything that happens, okay?" She nods and tears come down her face. Din awkwardly stands at the door before moving forward and sitting next to her and placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. She falls onto him and cries into his armour. "It'll get better," He tries to say in the most soothing voice. A few moments later, she is no longer crying but is still resting her head on his pouldron. "Better?"
"Yeah...better," She says, sniffling.
"I should've left you alone, I thought you would be able to handle yourself but-" She quickly lifts her head and glares at Din.
"Don't underestimate me," She says, cheeks stained with tears. "I...I know I should've been stronger...But...I wasn't," She says, wrapping her arms around herself. "But don't underestimate me...it may be the death of you,"
