~ Dream x Reader ~

This OneShot might be a little confusing.

Background info: You had dreams of Dream when you were both younger, but as you got older he disappeared and you forgot about him. He never forgot you, but he came back one day when you were an adult. . .

~

You set your purse on the ground and close the front door. Exhausted you sat on the couch, you felt like you were going to pass out.

You closed your eyes for a second then looked up again, and rubbed your eyes. I should probably get to bed. . . You thought as you stood up slowly.

You stumbled to you bedroom door and peeled off your work clothing, then put on a large T-shirt with some leggings. You fell onto your bed and fell asleep immediately.

Sitting up, you found yourself laying in a field of flowers. The sun was setting and there were mountains and trees in the distance. You looked around more and the field seemed to be packed full of flowers. Tulips, daisies, and all the flowers you could think of. It was beautiful.

"(Y/N)? Is that you?" Said a voice behind you. Startled you turned around and looked up to see a skeleton with black and yellow clothing.

You stood up and backed away. "W-who are you?" Why did this skeleton seem so familiar?

"You don't remember me?" The skeleton said becoming a little sad.

You blinked and shook your head no. "Have we met?" You said. You had a feeling you did but you don't remember.

The skeleton nodded and looked away, he seemed upset that you didn't know him. "I'm Dream" he said then turned his gaze back to you with a sad smile.

You have a soft smile back. "I'm sorry. It's nice to meet you though, Dream."

Dreams smile became more happier then turned to worry. "Have you been sleeping well? You have bags under your eyes."

You sigh and shook your head. "No, work has been a bit tough on me lately." You looked away.

The world seemed to be slowly fading away and your heard a faint alarm in the distance.

"You must be waking up. ." Dream said sadly. You turned to face him. "Well I'll see you in your next dream." He said with a smile.

And with that the rest of the dream faded away and you woke up. The only thing you really remember was your encounter with Dream. You opened your eyes and looked around your slightly dark room. Some light peeked through your blinds showing that it was morning. You heard a soft pitter-patter outside the window telling you it was raining.

(I just realized that I have included rain in like four stories already-)

That was fast. You thought, and sat up on your bed. Standing up you then walked over to the bathroom and did your morning routine.

Refreshed you walked out of the bathroom and changed into a large hoodie and some leggings. Luckily today was your day off from work.

You sigh and walked into the kitchen to get some breakfast. You stepped through the kitchen and opened up the pantry. Scanning the pantry for something good to eat, you just ended up choosing some cereal. Fast and easy. You got out a bowl poured the cereal and then put the cereal back. You then got out the milk and poured the milk in next. Putting it back, you then grabbed the bowl and sat on the couch; ready for a day of relaxing.
