~ Nightmare x Reader ~

"I'm Sorry." You said, hugging Nightmare.

"Noooooooooooo, I don't want you to leeeaaaave." Nightmare whined hugging your waist tighter.

You let out a small laugh. "But I have to go to my college today."

Nightmare buried his face in your shoulder. "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo." He whined.

You sighed and wrapped your arms around him. "Sadly college can't wait for me."

Nightmare looked at you with his lavender eyelights. He pouted and hesitatingly let go of you.

You smiled at him and put his skull. "Thank you, I'll see you."

Nightmare gave back a smile. "Okay. Promise me you'll come back later?"

"Promise." You said and held out your pinky.

To Nightmare, he found pinky promises childish but he nonetheless wrapped his phalange around your pinky.

Your smiled got a little bigger at that and you pulled Nightmare into one last hug.

You let go to see his face was a little purple, and that only made you smile even bigger.

You made your way down the hill, and Dream waved to you while he was near his friends. You waved back and made your way to you car.

That was around three years ago. . .

You were finishing up some of your lessons, and jotting down more notes in your note book. You occasionally searched up some things in your laptop, then jotted down even more notes. The teacher was sitting at his desk reading a book, while his feet were resting on the desk.

You sighed and started finishing up your notes.

Ping!

You looked down at you phone and saw a news report. I thought I had this thing silenced!!

"Whoever's phone went off, please make sure to silence it." The teacher said with out glancing up from his book.

You teacher had the ears of a bat, he could tell if someone was talking even if it was at the back of the entire room.

You quickly silenced your phone, without glancing at the news report. And returned to looking up a few more things here and there.

The teacher closed his book and glanced at everyone.

"Ya'll times up, your free to leave. . ." He looked like he doesn't even want to be there. I don't blame him, I don't want to be here either.

Why are the teachers even here? They don't even want to teach anyways.

You typed a few more words then closed your laptop. The room flooded with the sound of zippers and things being shoved into bags and backpacks. The students started talking and muttering about random things.

You glanced at your phone then finished packing up your things then read the new report notification. You were a curious person and always wondered what happened in the world.

What? You thought to your self and opened up the news.

A group of monsters and humans were gathered around The Tree of Feelings, but nobody outside the town knew exactly why they all have gathered. Nightmare the so called protector of negativity has gone mad by eating the dark apples.
