You grumbled under your breath while walking on the cement sidewalk. You didn't want to got home just quite yet. Your siblings were just too loud so that you couldn't even focus on your homework.

You stopped and turned around. Maybe I could find a good place that quiet- you thought to yourself. You thought the idea of a quite place was good for studying rather than the noisy home you live in.

You walked back and decided to follow a trail you take often when going on walks. The trail always lead to a big and open park that not a lot of people went to. Which was a score in your case!

You continued on your walk and found yourself at the big open park. You gazed are looking for a good spot to sit. In the distance you found a large tree. Half of the tree had bright golden yellow apples which could have been seen from a mile away, while on the other side it had a very dark black apples which you thought was quite unique.

You trudged your way up the hill the tree was on and took in the tree once more. The golden and bright side practically glowed in the sunlight. It slightly hurt your eyes but still it's the type of thing no one could get used to. The other side was shaded nicely, the black apples shimmered a slight purple when beams of sun hit them. Both the apples and the tree all together was very unique and interesting.

After a hot minute you sat under the more shaded side. Why? Well the other side was too bright, especially on paper. You know when sunlight is directly on the white paper, dude that light can hurt your eyes a bit. On the shaded side it was also a pleasant temperature, rather than sitting straight in the sunlight.

You pulled a red folder out of your backpack and decided that you would work on some of your English homework. You grabbed some other loose-leaf paper and started jotted down things.

"Hey." A voice said. It sounded a bit muffled at first. "Hey!" The voice became more clear and you snapped awake. In front of you were two skeletons. The one who was waking you up was a skeleton in yellow and blue clothing. The other one stood a good few inches away from the other. The other skeleton wore mainly purple clothing.

You let out a small yelp and flinched. "Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." The brighter skeleton apologized and backed away from you.

"Um well I'm Dream and this is my twin brother Nightmare." The bright skeleton introduced and then gestured over to the skeleton next to him as Nightmare.

"Erm, we'll I'm (Y/N)." You said. You felt a bit embarrassed for falling asleep. You gathered you papers and slipped them into the the red folder and shoved it into your backpack. You quickly zipped the bad pack shut and stood up. "I'm sorry for bothering you guys, but it's getting late and I need to go-" you pointed down the hill as you spoke.

"Wha-" A confused cut 'what?' Came from Dream as you rushed down the hill and disappeared on the trail back home.

Nightmare and Dream watched the girl rush down the hill and disappear. Nightmare blinked a few times. He was a bit stunned at the fact the the human even sat at his side of the tree. But one this he started wondering was why? Legitimately everyone other person would rather side on his brother side of the tree, so why would one person decide to change that.
