You closed the door right behind you. The lights in your house was on and gave a warm luminance to the room. With the lights being on you assumed your husband was home.
"Ink?" You called out and set your purse to the side and took of your shoes. "Honey? I'm home."
You took off a layer of one of your jackets and hung it up in the nearby closet.
"Honey?" A familiar voice called out. "Ah welcome home buttercup." Ink said smiling at you as he rounded the corner of the hall. He got closer to you and wrapped his arms around your waist. You happily wrapped you arms around his neck in return and brought yourself to give him a kiss.
Ink kissed you back deepening it as if he couldn't handle you being gone for so long. He slid one of his arms up your back and up to your head.
You broke off the kiss and he wined a bit. "Pff, you're acting like you haven't seen me in years. I was only gone because of work." You said.
"I knooow." Ink nuzzled his face in the crook of your next and breathed in your sent, and exhaled. His warm breath sent small tingles and shivers down your body. You face warmed up a bit. "But I still miss you."
You smile. You had your hands on his chest still standing quite close to him.
"Ewww mommy and daddy are kissing again?!" A little high pitched voice shouted out. You looked down to see your adopted daughter Avocado. She had her nose scrunched up in disgust.
Ink let go of you and grabbed Avocado twirling her in the air. A small wave of anxiety washed over you seeing your child in the air. But you knew your husband was trustworthy.
Avocado squealed in the air as Ink spun. "Yup, and we're gonna get you!!" Ink pressed small kiss on her forehead. Avocado wiggled I'm his arms trying to get away from the wrath of Ink.
"EWWWW!!!" Avocado shouted. You bit your lip to keep your self from laughing.
You then decided to join in on your husbands shenanigans. "Muahaha! I'm gonna get you!" You left a few butterfly kissed along Avo's face.
"AAA-" Avocado yelled out. You and Ink just laughed. Ink put Avo down and she started to run off. "I HAVE COOTIES NOW- EWEWEWEWW-" her footsteps echoed through the house until they came to a stop followed by a door slam.
Ink wrapped his arms back around your waist and leaned his head back into the crook of you neck. You then held onto his arms and laid your chins on his shoulder.
"I love you so much." Ink mumbled next to your ear.
"I love you too, I could never ask for a better husband." You whispered.

"Mom?" Avocado's voice woke you up. You glance over at your daughter tiredly.
"Why aren't you in bed." You whisper out loud. Ink was asleep beside you.
"I can't sleep." Avo whined. She sniffed and blinked a few times. Her eyes gave off a small green glow.
You sighed and patted the bed in between yourself and Ink. Avo crawled onto the bed. Her tiny little figure snuggling up to you. "Can you tell me the story of how you and daddy met again?"
"Oh?" You smiled. "You've heard that story at least a million times already" You laughed a little knowing that, that story was your daughter's favorite.
