-----(Flashback)----
Mamoru stood in a large throne room, one he could only remember from years previous. Beside him stood a girl around his height with long dark brown hair and yellow eyes, she wore a knight' outfit with a large purple cloak similar to his as a scarf. A boy stood on his left with blond hair, purple eyes and a long white cloak. Lastly a man stood in front of him he was a King, the King of ideal's.They were staring at a young girl sitting on her throne, with a large crown resting on her Jade green hair. She smiled then her hand raised up.
"Reshiram! Appear!" She cried calling her Pokémon. The white dragon of legend appeared in front of her and the four of them were taken back.
"Zekrom, attack." The King of ideal's ordered, the black dragon appeared from the sky in a cloud of thunder and soon the two dragons fought each other. The battle wasn't just theirs no, the Queen sitting on her throne had another person by her side, a young girl with platinum blond hair and dull, lifeless red eyes.
"Herupa!" The child beside Mamoru cried out, Mamoru held him back. Mamoru had feared something like this would happen, Herupa was no longer alive, sure she was standing in front of them but her soul was no longer with them, no, the body in front of them was a mere shell.
"Do not try it child." The woman beside him warned the boy. He looked away, tears filled his eyes. "It's just! Maybe my magic will cure her! Maybe we could use a Pokémon and maybe she won't-" his words were cut off by laughing from the Green-Haired Queen on the other side of the throne room.
"You idiotic boy! This was your doing in the first place! Your sister's heart is now dark as the night sky because of your own faults." She laughed, with one hand motion Herupa was set into gear. The girl jumped up, her eyes soulless and dull in her hands were two shadow balls.
The boy ran out, he called for his Pokémon to appear and a gray sylph-like Pokémon with a white chest and arms that resembles a dress appeared in front of him blocking the attack the young girl did. With swift movements and Pokémon-like moves, the boy and his Pokémon were no match for the girl. Even if his Pokémon was a legendary.
"Dammit." Mamoru herd the King curse. "I didn't want it to end up like this." He added then growled."My king, what is your plan?" The woman asked.
"To kill the girl."
----------(flashback over)-----------
Mamoru woke up, he jumped up in a state of shock. The green Pokémon on his lap was thrown and angrily growled at him. He looked around, forest for miles. He was safe. He wasn't back in that time. Nightmares like those plague him whenever he sleeps, that traumatising past that continues to make a fool of him.
"Bulba?" The small Pokémon questioned, walking up to his master. Mamoru smirked and picked up the Pokémon reassuring him it was alright. That he was alright, even though truthfully his state of mind would be questioned by a few. He smiled then looked around. No person in sight. He was in the middle of a forest. He didn't know what region he was in but he was close to the Kanto region. He had decided to take a rest next to an old Celebi shrine.
He recalled a time when shrines like these were common, you would find them nearly everywhere, a certain legendary would protect watch region that's how it was deigned. Maybe he could pray to Celebi like he had seen other do.
The moon shone brightly onto the Celebi shrine, the people that designed it must've done that on purpose. Mamoru got on his knees in front of the shrine and clapped his hands together.
"Celebi, protector of the forest, I pray to you that you will keep this place safe form harm and I also pray you will keep those I consider close away from harm." Mamoru prayed, he looked up and saw a shadowy figure fly off into the moonlight. He smiled and knew his prayers had been herd.
