In the Underworld the Occult Research Club were doing some last minute training before the rating game.
Ikki:I believe the bishop will be the biggest issue in my Trina attack
Kiba:Probably, unlike The Knight and The Rook, the bishop form needs additional time to charge the blast
Ikki:Yes, it would be pretty obvious if we stood there for all of that time
Kiba:It sounds kind of corny but we could use teamwork
Ikki:Yeah for sure if the team buys me enough time I can get a clear shot but if not I'll just focus on evading attacks until I'm ready. The Dark Dragon Destruction Blaster takes too much energy. I'll be able to get a few blasts in before I have to rest.
Kiba:If we're gonna use it'd be best to save it for Sairaorg
Ikki:Yeah I agree with you there.
Ravel:Hey, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. What you said about the bishop form in the Trina, it's only a suggestion, but instead of a full on cannon blast couldn't you just transfer the shot?
Ikki and Kiba:That's a great idea!
Ravel:That way, your team can give cover fire in a more effective way
Kiba:We can make it look like a charge and boost our allies then we can take them by surprise. It could work
Ikki:It also could leave our enemies in the dark on whether the next cannon blast is gonna be a transfer or an attack
Rias:True, but we may have some trouble with the game rules
Ikki:How so?
Rias:It won't be a concern as long as the match is a team battle. Sairaorg stated previously that he would like to accept all of our various powers in a single fight. The higher ups involved have approved of this request and because of those particular concessions, I believe they'll make special rules for the match
Ikki:What kind of special rules?
Rias:To start, they intend to hold the rating game inside a floating city which is over in the domain of Archduke Agar's family and they're planning to invite a rather large audience so that means they're probably not expecting it to be a very long battle. The Rating Game is just another form of entertainment. So naturally there will be some catering to fans
Ravel:She's right about that. In fact the games attracted quite a bit of attention. You're kind of famous
Ikki:Oh wow, really that's kind nice. But it does sound like fun. It looks like we're gonna have to train even harder so win can win.
