"Wake up, wake up, wake up!"

Those words, the words I couldn't bare to hear in the morning. Especially when those words are coming from my mother.

"Rue I'm not playing around. If you miss that bus I'm not driving you to school!"

I still wouldn't budge.

But that's understandable right? I'm pretty sure no one wants to be getting up at six in the morning to get ready. Especially if it's for school.

Am I right?

"Okay, I'm getting up." I yawn and stretch my arms above my head. I unlock my phone and go through some new messages.

Piper<3 : Did you get the answers to the homework from last week?

Piper <3 : ugh, you're asleep :( okay, I love you, sweet dreams <33

Bailey : BRUH, I JUST FOUND OUT CARTER LIKES YOU LMAO

I roll my eyes and groan.

Alright. That's enough for now. I walk to my closet and open it, revealing my wardrobe.

My mom usually picks my outfits because she thinks I dress like a homeless person- which by the way, really hurt my feelings. She just doesn't understand the fashion sense nowadays. She treats me like a mini her, dressing me up in skirts, or blouses.

But not today.

My mom probably didn't have time to pick an outfit for me, because she was out with dad last night for a late meeting. I hated when they had meetings. They would usually come home drunk and start fighting. But last night, instead of fighting, they came home ready to have another baby.

Either way, they come home making noise.

It's fine though, I think I'm capable of picking my outfit for a day.

I choose a white t-shirt, which was a bit baggy. I put some dark blue jeans on, tucking the white shirt in, and buttoning it up. I find an oversized, dark blue cardigan, and put it on.

Jesus, what do I do about my hair?

"Hmm." I tap my bright yellow hairbrush against my head, thinking. Maybe a braid? Oh, who the hell am I kidding? It'll take my like an hour! And I don't have that much time.

I look over at the alarm clock on my dresser. I have fifteen minutes left. I spray some water in. my hair, so that it won't be as frizzy when I run the brush through. I take all my hair in my hands, and pull it back. tie my hair into a low bun, and when I have this much hair, the bun rests on my left shoulder. A few curly strands of red hair frame my face.

"RUE! Get your ass down here!" I flinched as I listen to those words, because that time it wasn't my mom, it was my dad. I look down at my watch and saw the time.

My bus is almost here. "Shit!" I mutter to myself.

I run down the stairs, being cautious that I don't trip and fall... obviously.

"RUE." my dad called, startling me once again.

I slow down once I'm a few feet away from his office. I nicely walk in, brushing my clothes off, making sure I look "proper" enough for school.

I stood at the door frame of his office. His voice softens and he looks up at me from his paperwork. "Rue, tonight we will be attending a meeting at Mr. Rossi's house. And you WILL come along." He says, making the word 'will' extra stern
