Rebirth

As your eyes opened you found yourself in the room once again, but it was dark. The lights aren't on and the only light was from the heart monitor, for some reason the monitor connected to you. Strange.

Getting up off the bed you looked around the room, gratefully the monitor lit up a big portion of the room. On one of the desks you can see a figure leaning over it, looking a lot closer you realised that it was Karl sleeping. Head rested on a opened book that looked like he was writing in it since his hand held a pen. His hat and glasses where off which was extremely unusual for him, he must've been working hard by keeping an eye on you. You leaned down and kissed him on the back of his head, lips touching his ash gray hair.

After kissing him gently you noticed a vintage looking tape recorder on the desk, this is probably one of the ways he's been recording the last few days.

Deciding that your a little bit bored you took the tape recorder in your hand, rewinded it to the beginning and pressed 'play'. The sound that came out of it was Karl's sexy voice.

"Day 1 of F/N's 'Rebirth'.
The Cadou's entrance into the body when a lot smoothly then expected, it's now inside their chest and started growing into it's new environment. No changes to the body yet."

"Day 3.
Over the last two days their heat levels has gone down past freezing. I know that the Cadou causes the heart to beat slowly but I didn't realize that their temperature would go down drastically."

"Day 4.
I've had to dislocate the heart monitor from them due to the heart stop beating. I don't know why this has happened but tomorrow I'll be getting the x-ray machine in here as soon as possible, I don't want the parasite to have killed them."

Looking around the room you realized that the x-ray machine way now in one of the corners in the room next to another desk. Walking over to the desk you can find multiple different x-ray sheets that showed your insides. The tape still playing.

"Day 5.
It was a hassle getting it in here but it's in now. After I scanned their body something interesting occurred. The Cadou is acting extremely strange, something I've never seen. Miranda's notes haven't come handy especially for this predicament. Every few days I'll scan them to see what's going on under the hood."

Picking up one of the scans you found yourself in complete shock, the scans showed your insides where no longer flesh. But metal.

"Day 8.
Their heart has started to beat again but it's not actually beating, instead it's ticking. Their entire muscle system and bone structure has become a robotic endoskeleton, moving their arms and legs, it feels and looks like they're working just fine.
Another thing to mention is while I was trying to manipulate their limbs I noticed their body heat levels have risen just about freezing."

"Day 11.
Looking other their body's no longer showing the insides on the x-ray scans. There's not many reasons on why their body wouldn't show up but I believe that either their skin has become full metal or there's a layer between the skin and muscles that's fully metal. Since it's no longer showing up on the scans I'll only update when something happens on the outside."

And with that the tape ended.

You kept looking at the scans, ignoring that the tape ended. Eyes looking over the different scans, the ones that interested you the most where the ones that showed your endoskeleton and your metallic heart.

"Your awake." A sexy husky voice from behind you made you turn towards the door. There stood Karl Heisenberg, he turned on the room's lights which gave you two a better look at eachother. "Welcome home."

"It's great to be back." You said, leaning against the desk he approached you and wrapped his arms around your torso.

He pulled away and asked you how you feel, "I feel great. Weird but great."

"Well I'm glad that you're alright," he rubbed his neck with one of his hands and continued, "To be honest, for a moment there I thought you wouldn't pull through."

Placing a hand on his face you told him that everything's okay and how you where okay. With a sweet smile Karl removed his hand from his neck and moved it to one of your cheeks, caressing his large rough hand against your soft cheek.

Your face portrayed a soft smile while your mind was racing. He was so close to you, he looks like he's going to kiss you. Particularly you wouldn't want to kiss him because he smokes but at the same time you just want to smother his lips with yours. A massive red blush crept onto your face as you both stared deep into each other's eyes.

Karl chuckled at your tomato red face and your turned away in embarrassment and also his amused smile made your blush an even deeper red.

Karl chuckled again, "Your cute when you blush." His comment made your blush deepen again, causing you to scoot away in such embarrassment. Hands covering your face to hide your massive blush.

He chuckled once more, "Anyway, are you hungry?"

You nodded and he lead you towards the kitchen area and cooked up a feast to celebrate your rebirth. Now you where no longer human, you where more robotic then man; wondered if you could still eat food. Well, only one way to find out.

After Karl finished cooking and dished it out you promised to clean up afterwards. You also thanked him for the food and started to eat. During the meal you two talked about what's been happening throughout the two weeks you where asleep.

Apparently Lady Dimitrescu catched wind of the experiment and tried to come in to see, Karl had to verbally thrashing causing her to leave. She nearly discovered your little secret but gladly she didn't see anything.

Weird about being immortal is that you've not felt tired at all, usually your still a bit tired when waking up but you weren't. Strange that you couldn't hear your beating heart but more of a ticking heart now, very strange. Also another thing to point out is that cold doesn't bother you anymore, when you began living here you found the halls and rooms freezing even with your new clothes.

After cleaning up from dinner you two decided to have a break before tomorrow, especially since you've just woken up he didn't want you to start your training exhausted or tired.

Tomorrow you'll be working out what your powers are and how to use them, but today you'll be trying to get use to your new body.
