I could hear the thing coming closer to me. My eyes still closed shut. I could hear the growling getting heavier. This was it. I'm done. Dead. When suddenly the monster screeched and fell to the floor. I opened my eyes quickly. The monster lying on the ground with a blade through its neck. The black blood oozing everywhere. It was Shade! He saved me. I was so happy and great full that he came to save me. "You alright?" , Shade asked. I just stood there staring into his ocean blue eyes and couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. Suddenly I snapped out of my "trance of shock", I guess you could call it. "Yes, I'm okay" , I said. "Thank you for saving me, what was that thing?" , I went on. "You should know, Emma, you feared them as a child" , Shade told me. I was confused, I don't remember that much of my childhood, well, why would I, it sicker anyway. Then it all started to come back to me. "Greyders" , I said. "Correct" , Shade replied. "They're after you because you're 50, obviously" , Shade went on. "Don't you think I know that already, oww, my arm. It threw me against the wall like twice" , I told Shade in pain. "I know how to cure this injury, it's happened to me before, come to my room and I'll give the medicine needed" , Shade said. "Oh, okay" , I said as stuttering in between the words. "Give me about five minutes, I'll be there" , I told him. "Okay then, see you in five" , Shade replied as he left my room.
