Chapter 14

I grabbed my towel and dried myself. I put another cloth on my foot and threw some clothes on.
I tucked myself into bed and got ready to sleep

The next morning I woke up to my stupid alarm. I get dressed and open the door to go downstairs for breakfast. I bump into Lauren. "Hey Emma, are you going down for breakfast" , she asked. I tried to avoid her so I just ignored her and kept walking. "Hey Emma, wait up" , she called. Goddammit, she caught up to me. I turned around awkwardly, "Hey Lauren" , I said while I wanted  to just punch her in the face. "Let's walk down together" , she said. "Oh - okay" , I said stuttering.
As we walked down for breakfast together she wouldn't stop talking about Shade for some reason. "Why do you keep talking about Shade" , I asked. "Oh its just that we've been friends for so long and he's just an amazing guy" , she replied.
We got into the fancy elevator to go down to the main floor for breakfast. "What's wrong Emma, you seem upset" , Lauren noticed I was upset. "Um, no, what, I'm not upset, why would you think that? I am just so tired because I pulled off an all nighter by listening to some screamo music" , that's the only lie I could think of to hide the real truth of why I was so upset. "Oh well all nighters are not good because they lower your sleeping time, she said. Okay at that point I was about to break her face. Bitch who does she think she is telling me not to pull off an all nighter.
We got to the main floor and standing there was none other than Shade. He walked up to me. "Hey Emma you didn't come to my room last night" , he said. I really didn't want to see this guy's face, but I didn't want to be rude. "Um, yeah the thing is that I was going to come, but my wound had healed by itself" , I said walking away to go get breakfast. "Wait, Emma, are you lying because wounds from Greyders don't just magically heal" , he said in confusion. "Well mine did, maybe because I'm 50 so that's why I get some magic power or something, I really don't know" , I said then walked to the break fast room. "That's so weird", Shade said.
