chapter eight: graduation day
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The school bell chimed, students began filling the corridors, bristling with seniors, as today was a spirited day. Graduation day. Kim Taehyung and his best friend, Park Jimin exited their classroom to collect their gowns, joyous expressions on their young faces.

"We're officially going to be adults, Min-ah! We're gonna leave home and live on our own, get that apartment you wanted." Taehyung enthused about, wrapping an arm around the smaller.

"Yeah, but you know my parents would never give in to that idea. When I head home, they'll probably start talking about college and shit already." Jimin joked.

Taehyung slowly grinned playfully, "Actually, you don't have to worry about that, my friend, because I'll be kidnapping you. Did you forget about that grad party we're having afterward? We're getting fucking wasted tonight!"

"Wait, fuck you're right. We have to celebrate." The two laughed and grinned excitedly, Taehyung stepping back until he saw and felt a heavy gaze from behind Jimin's shoulder.

"Hey, do you know that kid?" Taehyung gestured behind him, Jimin raised an eyebrow and turned his head to look at a boy standing a few feet away, staring right at him.

But all Jimin could catch was the black hoodie over the boy's head, before he spun around and walked briskly down the hallway.

The boy trudging down the halls was no other than, Jeon Jungkook, an outcast, maintaining zero friends and a non-existent reputation, the odd kid that no one acknowledged nor cared enough to. Unknowingly, Jungkook was Jimin's secret admirer. The beautiful ravenette was oblivious to the hooded male who watched him from afar, a heavily weighted crush to which Jungkook had no intention of confessing.

But as Jungkook was only known for being the odd kid, he can't be bothered by it, because the one aspect he would admit to and be proud of, was being strange.

Jungkook's head hung low, a sullen expression on his face, he had been in a sorrowful mood since he had woken up. The brunette was crushed by the fact that Jimin would graduate, leave high school and move on with his life, as for Jungkook, he'd grow depressed at the thought of never catching a glimpse of him again.

It was when Jungkook's body crashed into another, that he stumbled and snapped out of it. "Hey!" A voice snapped at him, shoving him to the ground.
