Hashtag.
Hashtag is such a weird word to me. Just think about it......
Hash...... What does that sound like to you?
The answer is hash brown. You know it's the food that is made of potatoes and tastes like heaven!!!! 😊😋
Next think of Tag......
I don't think of anything special about this part, but it could refer to like a price tag or something.
Anyway the weird person who invented this thing probably combined hash browns and price tag and came up with hashtag.
And don't get me started on my the hashtag sign looks like the number sign(#). I mean seriously, you couldn't have chosen something other than that?
Now when your writing something, for example......

People might think you're writing hashtag 1 when really you're trying to write number 1.
