Rural
This is hard to say sometimes.
If you're talking to someone, they might ask something like......
"So, where did you live when you were a kid?"
Then you might say.....
"Oh I lived in a rural area."
Well you would be saying it kinda fast, so it would sound like rule. The. They would think you were saying you lived in a ruled area, so you had a king, queen, or emperor.
So then next thing you know they treat you weirdly for no apparent reason and you don't know why.
The End.
Another thing is that it can be a misunderstanding in school. I forgot which grade, but it one grade the teacher teaches the students about urban and rural areas.
Well some people can have trouble processing things in their brain. Their teacher will say something like this.
"Ok, can someone please tell me what a rural area is?"
Then the kid that has a little trouble processing things will think they said rule. Then they will raise their hand and the teacher will call on them.
The kid will say something like this.....
"A ruled area is when a king, queen, or emperor rules the land."
Then the teacher will give him a confused look while the other kids laugh at him.
This can lead to things like bullying and that ladies and gentlemen is against the law.
So they should really change words like this to something that can be heard more clearly.
And this leads me to my next thing.....
