Stand tall Jaune pt-2

Third person pov

Cardin: "You know, that wasn't a very smart move, Jauney boy." Cardin lifts a battered Jaune again while the rest of Team CRDL watches "I'm going to ensure they send you back to mommy in teeny tiny pieces."

Jaune: head hanging back "I don't care what you do to me..." Jaune looks at Cardin with fury "... but you are not messing with my team."

Cardin: looking momentarily shocked "What? You think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big, strong man now?"

Jaune smiles defiantly. An enraged Cardin roars and raises his fist again, but just as the blow lands, a bright light shines from Jaune. When the white glow fades from the scene, Cardin cries out in pain, clutching his hand. Jaune, now back on the ground but fully healed, looks confusedly at his hands as they faintly emit a white glow. While he stares in astonishment, Sky Lark kicks Jaune in the back, causing him to fall onto his stomach. Jaune looks up and glares at the approaching Cardin.

Cardin: "Let's see how much of a man you really are..."

Just as Cardin speaks, a low growl is heard, and a surprised Team CRDL turns around to witness a large paw crashing onto the scene. The paw belongs to a massive Ursa Major, its back adorned with dozens of jagged spikes. The Ursa leaps forward, standing over the terrified students. It lifts its head in the air, scenting the sap on Cardin's breastplate. The Ursa then lands back on its forelegs and roars at Cardin while his teammates flee heroically.

Russel: "That's a big Ursa!"

Cardin is frozen in place as the Grimm creature swings its claws, knocking him sideways. This reveals Jaune, who is cowering behind Cardin. The Ursa continues sniffing, seemingly uninterested in Jaune, and instead follows its nose to Cardin. It looms over Cardin, who regains his wits and hastily draws out The Executioner. However, the monster swipes the weapon away, sending it tumbling to Jaune's feet. Cardin's expression reveals his internal struggle, torn between fighting or fleeing.

With Y/n and the others:

Y/n comes to a sudden halt, one of his ears twitching. He then turns to look behind him toward the forest.

Yang: "Are you all right, Y/n?"

Y/n: "I sense two, no, three people..." He sniffs the air "They reek of cheap cologne. It's Cardin's team."

Suddenly, the remaining members of Team CRDL rush past them, fleeing from the roar.

Russel: looking back "Ursa! Ursa!" He accidentally collides with Yang.

Yang: "What?! She remains unfazed, effortlessly lifting him by the front of his shirt Where?"

Russel: struggling and running in mid-air "Back there! It's got Cardin!"

Pyrrha: releasing the jar of sap "Jaune!"

Ruby: going into leader mode "Yang! Blake! Go get Professor Goodwitch!" After dropping Russel, Yang and Blake nod before following the command.

Pyrrha: directing Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie "You two, go with them! There might be more!"

Y/n: "What has that idiot gotten himself into..."

Y/n's POV:

I release a prolonged sigh as I observe Cardin's cowardly teammates fleeing. And there's a Ursa, a rather substantial one at that... Jaune, I hope you're not in too much trouble. Following Ruby and Pyrrha's lead, I head in the direction from which Cardin's team fled.
