[A/N: Hello readers! I wish I could write my own original work as quickly as I write this. I enjoy writing this just as much as my originals, though. And, I got to say, it's inspired writing my own MC stories as well. Anyway, here's the next one. Please forgive typos and if there is anything as far as continuity and/or grammar (that isn't clearly on purpose) you see that needs to be addressed, let me know. As always, let me know what you think and I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading!

I spent about an hour and a half with Tara and there were no other incidents with the agent. I'd learned his name was Joshua Kohn and he'd been a real asshole. Apparently, his obsession had been made worse after she ended things with him and had an abortion after she learned she was pregnant. By the end of my visit with her, a tentative alliance, if not a friendship, had been formed between us. Neither of us were the girls we'd been a decade ago.

Before I left, Jax called me and said Hale would take care of Kohn. I passed the message to Tara and she seemed relieved. I knew Jax would be going to the clubhouse and I was beyond ready to just be at home. By the time I made it there, I was exhausted. I sat on the couch, turned on the TV, and fell asleep. It was after five when I felt a hand in my hair. It would have startled me if I didn't know those hands and the way he touched me so well. I cracked my eyes open to see Jax squatting before.

"Hey," I said, my voice scratchy. I cleared my throat and wiped some sleep from my eyes.

"Hey, babe," he said. His voice was soft and affectionate and he didn't remove his hand until I pushed myself to sit up. One glance at his face told me he was troubled. I patted the spot next to me.

"Sit. Tell me what's wrong." He didn't hesitate to sit next to me and then pulled me in his arms. I rested my head on his shoulder and he laid his on top of mine. I turned enough so my right arm was resting across his stomach.

"What makes you think something is wrong?"

"You think I just met you yesterday, baby? You know you can't hide shit from me."

"Not even if I wanted to. Water and power found some old bones out on forty-four."

"Really? Isn't that just outside of Charming?"

"Mm-hmm."

"That normally wouldn't bother you but, it was Samcro, wasn't it?"

"Yes. Apparently back in ninety-two. Mayans. At least, that's what Clay and Tig say."

"You think there is more to it?"

"I know they're keeping something from me and that means it's a lot worse than it looks. We are going up to the hospital tonight to hopefully get to the bones before they get identified."

"How are you going to get into the morgue? Only employees can go down there."

"I'm actually hoping Tara might be feeling a bit generous."

"And if she isn't there or won't help?"

"Then we'll come up with something," he said and yawned, kissing my temple when it passed.

"But you're so tired, baby. Do they absolutely need you?"

"Probably not but, I am VP and more than that, I want to find out what they're hiding."

"When are you-" I was cut off by my cell phone ringing and had to pull out of his arms to grab it from the coffee table. I frowned when I saw the number.

"Who is it?"

"Tara."

"Tara? Why is she calling you?"
