CHAPTER 21

There were more people coming in slowly. But the more time goes by, the more anxious I get. One is because the graduation ceremony is starting soon. And second, is that Chaeng has been acting more weird than usual. I still can't get over what Sana said to Chaeyoung. "Do it later, Chaeng." I know I should trust Chaeyoung but...

Chaeyoung: Babe, are you alright? Is something bothering you?

I looked at Chaeng. How does she know that something is on my mind? I faked a smile.

Mina: Yeah, I'm okay. It just... feels like this year was so short. From meeting you in January to graduating here with you, I can't even believe it.

Chaeng knew it was more than that but she decided not to ask. She just held my hand and kept quiet. After a few hours, the graduation ceremony came. Ms.Park went on stage with the principal. Of course, I almost fainted because the day finally came where I graduated.

Ms.Park: I'm sure you all are excited to leave this school so that you can finally pursue your passion in life. I would be lying if I said I won't miss all of you. Don't forget to study and remember what we taught you here, we may not be the best school but we care about you all the most.

I hyperventilated a lot as she said the words she said next.

Ms.Park: ...And to bring recognition to these students on how they were determined to finish their studies and getting the highest marks in this school, they are our honorary students for the year.

I held Chaeyoung's hand tightly like it was going to be the last few seconds of our lives.

Ms.Park: The honorary students are Myoui Mina, Son Chaeyoung, Minatozaki Sana, and Hirai Momo. These students please come up on stage.

I couldn't believe it. It all felt so... different. The hell that I had to go through and I finally have the first milestone in my life.

Momo: How did I become an honorary student?!? I didn't even study most of the year!

Sana: HOLY SHIT! This is THE best day EVER! Let's go up there!

Sana went up on stage, jumping like a bunny. She saw Tzuyu in the crowd and blew a kiss to her. Momo also went on stage, possibly thinking on why they chose her out of all people. She didn't have to study at all and she STILL got to become an honorary student?!?

Chaeyoung: Ready?

I nodded, looking into her eyes. I could stare at them forever. She showed me her dimple smile and I poked her dimple, causing her to laugh.

Chaeyoung: Well, after you, my lady.

She bowed and pointed to the stage.

Mina: You just want to check me out, don't you?

Chaeyoung: Oh no! You caught me! Seriously though, you look breathtaking.

I got flustered. I purposely went on stage slowly so she could take in the view. I know she was already salivating about me and I liked it.

Ms.Park: These students really focused on their studies and they know how to manage their time well. So, give them a round of applause for their hard work.

The crowd was so loud that my eardrums were about to burst. I felt like I completed my life but also felt like it was missing a piece for some reason. I know it sounds selfish but it really does feel like my life is missing something. It surely isn't my parents. They were already out of my life for a few years now. I have a feeling it has something to do with Chaeyoung. I can just feel that she's my soulmate and she wants to stay in my life forever.

Chaeyoung: We finally got through the final year of senior year. It felt way too short in my opinion.

Momo: Yeah, I'll really miss you guys.

Mina: You act like we can't hang out during the holidays or on weekends.

Sana: We'll probably be super busy during the holidays. We have to think about the schools we would want to go to. We'll think so much about it that we would probably won't shut up about it.

Mina: Look, you can't be that stressed about it. Hanging out is suppose to make you relax, not making you more stressed out.

Momo: You're right, Minari. We're just... going to different schools, new environment, we can't just act like this shit doesn't scare us.

Ms.Park cleared her throat.

Ms.Park: I believe we have to give you four the medals.

We looked at each other then at Ms.Park. She was holding the medals that would be worn by us.

Momo: Oh, Sorry Ms.Park. We were just discussing what we would do next in our lives.

Ms.Park: Moving forward is scary, but with your friendship, you will get through anything. Trust me, I know from experience. You guys will do fine.

I didn't know that Ms.Park could see how our friendship was but she was our teacher so of course, she would know.

After the whole thing with the graduation speech and everything else, Ms.Park stopped me from joining the rest of the group.

Ms.Park: So, how are you and Chaeyoung?

I got flustered from the sudden question.

Mina: W-What are you talking about, Ms.Park?

Ms.Park: I know sexual tension when I see it. It's quite obvious with you two.

Mina: Uh, I-

Ms.Park: Sorry if I'm prying, I just feel like you're more than friends.

Mina: We a-are uhm, dating. I wanted to tell you that on my own but since you asked sooner, I couldn't lie to you.

Ms.Park: I suspected it. Well, if you need anything, you have my number. Be healthy nd happy, alright? You can go back to your girl now, I can see her staring at you like a piece of meat and I can tell she wants something more than a kiss.

Mina: Ms.Park!

She laughed and walked towards the other teachers. What the hell just happened? I walked back to the group, embarrassed.

Chaeyoung: Hey, what did Ms.Park talk to you about?

Mina: She uh, just wanted to know if we were dating or not. It's nothing, she's just nosey.

Sana: She wanted to know if you fucked or not.

Mina: Sana! Don't s-say this here!

Sana: What? Everybody does it.

Mina: You don't have to say it out loud!

Sana: Do you see your Chaeng? She's not as embarrassed as you.

Chaeyoung: Shut up, you never know when to stop do you, Sanake?

Momo: While you guys freak out, I'm gonna slow dance with someone.

Sana: Yeah, me too. And don't think too much about the positions you guys wanna try tonight! All of them are fun if you know what I mean.

Sana winked. I showed her the middle finger. This snake really doesn't know how to stop. They left me and Chaeng alone. These bitches did it this on purpose. For the first time in the months we dated, things felt awkward.

Chaeyoung: Hey, uhm. Can you follow me?

Mina: Huh? Why?

Chaeyoung: It's a surprise, I'll show you.

Sana: She's doing it!

I heard what Sana had whispered to Momo and Aunty Nayeon before Chae took my hand and we went out of the hall.

Mina: Ya! Wait! Where are we going?!?

Chaeyoung: You'll see! Just be patient, Minaguin!
