CHAPTER 12

Mina: She's my girlfriend.

Mom looked at me with disgust. Dad dropped everything in his hands and slapped the shit out of me.

Dad: How fucking dare you?!? This girl gave you her sickness! You two aren't in love-

Mina: DAD! We ARE in love! What is your fucking problem with us?

Mom: It's not natural, Mina! You know that.

Chaeyoung: Uhm, Mrs and Mr Myoui, I really think you should leave us alone. If you don't accept us then get out of my house.

Chaeng said that with a smile. My dad glared at her while my mom cried.

Dad: Show some fucking respect, alright? 

 Finally, after what felt like an eternity, they left.

Chaeyoung: Minaguin, are you okay? Your cheek's red.

Mina: No... Sorry for that, I...

I broke down.

Chaeyoung: Don't be sorry about your parents. Your parents are assholes. Come here.

Chaeng gave me a tight hug. Her warmth engulfed me. The only warmth that could make me feel safe and loved. The warmth that nobody could give.

Mina: Please don't let go...

Chaeyoung: I'll be here for as long as you want me to be. 

At that moment I realised that Chaeng would do anything to make me happy. No matter how much I told myself I was broken, she would make me feel like I'm not. She would be there no matter what.

We slowly swayed as time passed, enjoying each other's warmth.

Mina: Thank you for being here for me. I don't know what I would've done without you.

Chaeyoung: I love you a lot, Mina. Even though we met super awkwardly, we had a connection.

Mina: Awwww, my smol cub has gone soft. Love you too, Chaeng.

Our lips connected and I could feel her smile. I placed my hand on her waist as she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me closer. Everything she does makes me go crazy. I broke the kiss and stared into her eyes.

Chaeyoung: What's wrong?

Mina: Promise me, one day, marry me.

Chaeyoung smiled.

Chaeyoung: Maybe that would be near.

We continued to make out but the words that Chaeng had said got stuck in my mind.

Maybe that would be near.
