I woke up and saw Chaeyoung. She looks so beautiful even when she's sleeping. I then remembered that we almost kissed. Why didn't we pull away? I should stop being gay when I see her. She's too cute for me.

Sana: Hey, I caught you.

I looked at the door. Great, this girl is killing me.

Mina: Caught me doing what?

Sana: You're looking at her like something happened last night.

I reddened. Please no, don't find out what we did.

Sana: Why are you red? Wait, DID YOU KI-

Mina: Calm the fuck down! If you keep shouting, she'll wake up.

Sana: So, what happened? Tell me.

Do I even have a choice?

Mina: We almost kissed. Emphasizing on the word 'almost'.

She smirked. I know that smirk. She's going to tease me about it for the whole week.

Sana: So, how was it? Being so close to your crush?

Mina: Can we talk about this in the living room? Chaeng's here for frick sakes.

I showered and went to the living room. Momo is talking to Aunty Nayeon. What should I do? I should be doing homework first. Ms.Park would kill me if I haven't done any of her assignments.

I sat at the table. I need Chaeyoung to hug me. I miss her warmth.

Chaeyoung: Good morning, Penguin. You're doing homework this early? Can I help?

She sat down next to me.

Mina: Well, I need someone to hug me. I've been quite stressed out lately.

She grinned and hugged me tightly. God, this always calms me down. Frick, now I do have a crush on Chae. Is it a good or bad thing?

Chaeyoung: Should we let go? Your Aunt and Samo are looking at us.

Mina: Let them look.

Chaeyoung: U-Uh, o-okay um. I guess we c-can just c-continue for awhile.

She's adorable when she stutters.

Momo: At least say good morning to us before hugging each other like you're dat-

I glared at her. Aunty Nayeon looked at me then Chaeyoung.

Aunty Nayeon: You two are not dating, right?

Mina: N-No! I-I-She is j-just a-a friend!

Chaeyoung: Y-Yeah, um, s-she's just a friend.

She rubbed the back of her neck. Aunty Nayeon looked at us for a few seconds before looking away. Thank you for not knowing how I feel about Chaeyoung. I looked at Chaeng who was blushing so much.

Mina: you don't think of me in that way, right?

Chaeyoung: N-No! I-I just think of you a-as a friend.

I nodded. My heart sank when she said that. I was hoping she would say something that didn't make me so disappointed. Chaeng went to the couch. Sana knew I was disappointed and walked up to me.

Sana: Don't be so sad. Chaeng likes you as a crush.

Mina: How do you know? She already said that she only thinks of me as a friend.

Sana: Note on how she stutters when she said that and how she looks at you. Those are the main things to note when they have a crush on you.

She did stutter. I'll see how she acts when she's around me then.

Mina: I guess so.

Sana: Now I know that you have a crush on Chaeyoung. Our penguin finally has a crush!

I punched her shoulder.

Mina: Stop teasing me. I like her but don't tease me about it.

Sana: Come on! Teasing you when I see you blush when you're talking to Chayoung or looking at her is fun!

I rolled my eyes then smiled. I turned around and saw Chaeng looking at me. She quickly looked away. Why is she looking at me? I looked at Sana and she wiggled her eyebrows.

Sana: You two will be a cute couple. Go and talk to her, she's probably waiting for you to come to her.

I got up and walked to her.

Mina: Hey, Chaeng. Sorry about Momo, she says stupid things sometimes.

Chaeyoung smiled. How does this girl make my heart flutter?

Chaeyoung: It's fine. I'm sorry about last night. I just wanted you to know that you are perfect.

Should I do that arm thing she did to me? Whatever, I'll do it since it's a classic lesbian move. I put my arm around her shoulder.

Mina: Thanks. You're perfect too.

We looked at each other for what seemed like hours until Aunty Nayeon called me. I walked to her.

Aunty Nayeon: Mina. Your mother called me and said that they would be away fo-

Mina: For a few more months, I know. It's not like they would want to take care of their daughter anyways. They'd rather love their job more than their daughter.

Aunty Nayeon sighed. She knows I'm correct. It's been eight years since they've come back but this is just the routine-hoping and waiting for them.

Aunty Nayeon: They miss you, Mina. They want to come back home and spend some time with you-

Mina: And go back to work after a few hours and say they're sorry?!? They always say they miss me but do they even think about me?!?

Chaeyoung, Sana and Momo looked at us.

Mina: They're so fucking wrapped up with work that they don't even take a minute out of their day to call their fucking daughter?!? They've said the same thing over and over again but have they come here after eight years?

Aunty Nayeon: Mina, I know you're mad but calm down. Your parents are busy with work. I'm sure they'll come home soon.

The lump in my throat made it difficult for me to talk. My eyes were wet.

Mina: I... Fine. I need some time alone.

I walked to my room and slammed the door behind me. I sobbed uncontrollably. I hugged my knees. Do my parents hate me? Do they just want to forget about me? Why are they so focused on their work? I know I'm overreacting but I just miss them. A knock on the door.

Mina: Go away.

Chaeyoung: It's me. Can I come in?

I opened the door. She held me and I cried even more.

Chaeyoung: I know its tough for you, Penguin. They'll come back, you just have to wait.

I held her tightly while I sobbed. She rubbed my back.

Chaeyoung: Let's sit down then we can continue hugging.

We sat and I hugged her even more tightly.

Mina: If you can't breathe, please tell me to release you.

She chuckled.

Chaeyoung: It's fine.

I pulled away and looked at Chaeng.

Mina: Thanks for calming me down. I just get annoyed by my parents for leaving me like that.

She smiled and I smiled back. I laid my head on her chest and I could hear her heartbeat increasing. She stroked my hair and I felt comfortable being this close to Chaeyoung. I slowly drift to sleep.
