"Have a good day!" Mom calls out as I head into the school.
I turn around to wave but she's already gone. Instead, I accidentally wave to another girl. Not just any girl.

The fourth girl.

"Hey." She waves back. But doesn't even smile.

My heart raced. I didn't know how to respond.
With that, I quickly turned around and sped walked into school. The girl never bothered to ask why I didn't talk to her, so I didn't worry.

But I swear, when I finally entered school, I felt unsafe.

I packed up my locker, and headed for my next class. Drama.
I quite enjoyed drama, I just wish I could enjoy it with some friends.
Friends that I really haven't made yet...

"Today we'll be practicing cover-ups. Today's cover-up is a crime scene! Pick a partner and practice your creative cover-up!" Mrs.Lam directed us. As soon as she said "partners" a bunch of girls already were partnered up. Leaving me partnered up with a boy I suppose.

"Ceria?" Mrs.Lam asked heading over to me. "Do you have a partner?"
I shook my head in embarrassment.

"James!" She waved over a boy. He was tall, had a fit body, and his hair was a perfect shade of brown. He smiled at me. Like not a "pity" smile. A real smile. Like he was happy to see me.

"Your working with the lovely Ceria!" Mrs.Lam introduced me.
I waved at James, who waved back.
After Mrs.Lam left, James frowned.

"I can't believe it.." He said in disgust looking at me head-to-toe. There was a silence in the air. Is it me or did this boy just turn into a dick within 5 seconds?

"I'm kidding!" James laughed.
"Mrs.Lam says I'm a good actor, just wanted you to keep in mind of that," he gives me a goofy grin.

"Oh really?" I smirk. "You? A good actor? You make me laugh," I joked. James grinned even wider.
"Ooh, tough rookie. Okay let's see what you can do."

Me and James began practicing cover-ups. James complimented how good I was with lying.

"Wow..your amazing."

I blushed, and quickly covered up my red cheeks into my sweater.

"Pick up your books! Class dismissed," The teacher announced.

I walked over to get my books, while walking out the door, James bumped into me.

"Sorry," he blushed. "I'll see you around later."

As he walked away, my heart fluttered.

But a girl, with blonde hair and fiery eyes stood at the hallway corner looking at me. Spying on me.
But then I recognized her, the leader of The Brookeman Road girls. At least I think that's what they are.

I don't know what is what anymore.
